In Marlin pins.h lines 700 and 707 both refer to an encoder which turns the wrong way. I am new to Arduino and assumed this meant switch the values between the lines. This did nothing, what do I need to do to reverse these settings?by mnadamn - RAMPS Electronics
I have slowly been building my MendelMAX 1.5 and recently purchased Ramps 1.4 and a Full Graphic LCD for it - This one -. The ramps board I purchased is also from this seller. I am having 2 issues with the controller, first the rotary encoder is inverted. If I turn it clockwise it reduces the feedrate and increases when turned counter clockwise. The other issue I am having is the display willby mnadamn - RAMPS Electronics
Thanks for your response Ikilledkenny, I was looking at the prusa hot end but being new I wanted something with a little more forum support. I am still torn between the two but may go towards the J head first. This decision is due to forum support, small footprint (10mm x rods = less space between), cost and reliability. In the future I will be looking at poly and other high temp materials buby mnadamn - Reprappers
Thanks Jeff, I really like your hotend and will most likely go with it. Your site lists that the poly kit is experimental.... Have you had much success with it? Also, what led you to create the buda instead of use the j-head? When I first posted this, I was looking for a comparison between the two. Has anyone used both? What did you think? I will be using a .5mm boreby mnadamn - Reprappers
I am new to reprap and have some experience with powder printing, laser cutting and CNC mills. I have to admit that reprap is intimidating in then eyes of a newb. Not only is the wiki difficult to navigate, but there are so many options out there. I would like to see (or would write) a segment on the community, selecting, and building a printer. A segment in each issue would be nice for peoplby mnadamn - RepRap magazine
Reconstructme is great! I don't have a printer up and running yet but I have scans of friends and family which have been saved directly from the scan software to stl. With he newer versions you can use multiple scanners to create 1 scan. I am now working on a system to increase the accuracy and decrease interference from the infa-red grid from other kinects.by mnadamn - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
I know that this has gone nearly 3 years without a comment but I am interested in this as well. If there are some of you that are interested, here is a proven system that is now open source. Google book scanningby mnadamn - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
First off, I would like to thank all of you, I have been reading these forums for months looking into printing, issues which may come up, and interesting improvements you all are doing. I am planning a build of a 12.6" x 8.4" heated printbed MendelMAX 1.5 (Thingiverse). Currently it is a work in progress and when everything is finalized, I will be posting STL's. Right now, all that is posedby mnadamn - Reprappers
