Hi John, thanks for starting the page! I added a few additional links. The little Rapidfire kiln looks interesting. To be honest, I'm not sure an open source alternative would cost much less than the list price of $565 for the Rapidfire. Hi! I've been working on an open source electric kiln: RepKiln Hackaday Project Page I plan to put the information on the RepRap wiki after I've finished it. Not that there can only be one kiln project on the wiki, of course... So, John Cummings, I say feel free to add a kiln project to the wiki!! I logged in to the server and made a few edits to LocalSettings.php. I'm not sure if the changes will take effect immediately or if something needs to be restarted. Could someone please try and edit the wiki to see if these changes had any effect?by MattMoses - Administration, Announcements, Policy

I logged in to the wiki and made a test edit to the Gcode page and it worked OK. I did not see a captcha though... perhaps this is because I have admin account for the wiki(?) Are you saying that you cannot edit the wiki even when logged in? I would like to help fix this, but unfortunately I don't know how. Hi D.Goncz, If I remember correctly, Feynman actually got some of his ideas from Waldo, not the other way around. Heinlein published Waldo in 1942, and Feynman gave his lecture in 1959. Apparently Feynman learned of Waldo from his friend/student Albert Hibbs, and the story just gets weirder and weirder the deeper you go down (see Feynman, Waldo and the Wickedest Man in the World). I'm glad you are happy with the work, Arthur. However, now that the policy stuff is codified, I took a moment to go back and look at the AZMSZ_Mini page. I don't really understand how this page is in violation of the policy. Can someone please clarify? This is cool. Can you provide any more information on the conductive PLA version? How well does it work compared to the conductive paint version? What kind of bearing does this use? (I assume the bearings are commercial and/or they contain metal.) It would be kind of fun to make a motor that is 100% printed 100% plastic, just to show that it can be done.by MattMoses - Look what I made!

GitHub is a decent option. It has a built-in 3D STL viewer, online storage, version control, wiki pages, and lots of other stuff. There are a lot of well known RepRap-related hardware projects maintained on GitHub (Mendel90 for example). Not sure if this helps, but GitHub has had STL support for years. The format is so simple and widely used that it is hard to imagine 3D Systems trying to (or being able to) restrict its usage.by MattMoses - General
