the biggest limit is the arduino, and if i remember right its close to 18v. at 14 i would say you are fine.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
i dont know about PLA but with ABS there are a few thing about brushing on acatone or a vapor bath.by dissidence - General
now i want to take one of those infusion pumps apart..lol i was thinking a peristaltic pump might give a person the controle they wanted, if you could get by the sight pulsing they have.by dissidence - General
pla or abs.?by dissidence - General
Cool Always glad to see people. Ironically I will be in Regina next weekendby dissidence - Saskatchewan RUG
my wife would say any husbands or geeks would be highly affected too..lolby dissidence - General
those remind me of something on makerbot/thingiverse that i saw ages ago.by dissidence - General
i would like to back them but i dont want it to be like my pepple watch, witch i love by the way. just to get it a year later. though it is a lot more simple than my watch would ever be to build.by dissidence - General
i found my pla parts less trouble to remove once they cooled. but wow i never had to print with pla that high of a temp.by dissidence - General
i was looking at some mechanical end stops the other day and i noticed that they has pins lables NC and NO, so i got to thinking with all the troubles i have noticed with endstops what about using both of the pins i think it might make for faster trouble shooting too. i am not sure how much trouble that would be to add into the firmware.by dissidence - Controllers
the only changes you would have to make is if your new steppers have more or less steps per revolution 200 vs 400. other than that it would be just your trim pots on the driversby dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
i wish i had the money to spare for something like that, i can see a lot of uses for it. best of luck with that though.by dissidence - General
in the next few days though i want to learn more about the liquid they made and its properties, i hope it is not too brittle to be used in something funtional.by dissidence - General
these guys are trying to beat that. and they are not that far away from my...lol http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/117421627/the-peachy-printer-the-first-100-3d-printer-and-scby dissidence - General
i think teacup might be the simplest for you to mod to your needs.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
sounds like your steppers are stalling, and you have to figure out why, when they stall can you reverse the plastic out.?by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
hey these guys are out of saskatoon thought i would share it with you guys http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/117421627/the-peachy-printer-the-first-100-3d-printer-and-scby dissidence - Saskatchewan RUG
Funny how things work. I have this extruder and the only mod I have done so far is changed the hobbed wheel on the stepper. But I did that from the start. I will say this though it dose not like poor quality philiment.by dissidence - General
i was in a rc car shop a few days ago and i found this very handy wire, http://www.tqracing.com/rc_products.htm i was wondering if anyone else has used it, i am using it for my bed heater now, it is super flexible and, has silicone insulation on it. some wickedly fine wires though, soaks up solder better than solder wick i think.by dissidence - Controllers
i have got the sainsmart from amazon, not great, but i find it to be workable.by dissidence - General
if you ask me trial and error, is the best way to learn for a lot of things. the fewer the pieces though the less trouble you will have, that much i can tell you. i am a big fan of the makergear hot ends, and a growing fan of the qu-bd hot ends. they have been good to me at least.by dissidence - General

i was just looking at the github for repetier, i see that it supports the sd, but dose it support the lcd panel.? i do like what i am seeing on repetier though. but i also like my lcd panel funtionality.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
i am glad to see i am not the only one with issues, i cant get mine to stop beepeing when i install the newer firmware on it. and no matter what i cant find the culprit.by dissidence - RAMPS Electronics
i think the rubber would wear quickly, if it was able to but enough pressure on the filament.by dissidence - General
i dont know where it is, but i think it is to stop the top nut from spinning, i dont have it and mine only move a little, i would not call it a major part. but i cant say about yours if it has enough pressure on it to break it it might be another storyby dissidence - General
i use a few fans but i like to have them bloweing at different speed, like for my hot end vs one that is blowing on my prints, and another one that is plowing on my ramps board, i dont have them all set at the same speed.by dissidence - General
with that i could have some fans...lol im done with the bad puns. nice idea. though i will say that i would like this with some manual controle for a row for things that i dont want tied to the cooling fan output.by dissidence - General
