How is this different compared to Gen6 board?by 3eality - Controllers
Hi Jeremy, Not sure if you remember me - I am the one who met you at you factory couple of weeks back. Thanks for the sample of PLA and ABS. I haven't got a chance to use the ABS sample as my 3Dprinter needs some fixing. Below is my feedback for the clear PLA sample you have given. 1. The dia of the PLA is a perfect (3mm) it was getting good consistent friction and is extruding properly 2.by 3eality - Australia, Melbourne RUG
As I am new to this tech word, can you direct me to any useful guide, how to install firmware on Gen6 board. Do I have to buy any special cables in addition to my USB?by 3eality - General
Agree with you Cefiar, the stuff from 3Dstuffmaker is really stuff. I am just holding my breathe before I successfully complete my 3D printer. Once done I am planning to write the loooooong list of issues that I have go through with the kit i bought from 3Dstuffmaker.by 3eality - Australia, Melbourne RUG
Garry, I can see a good opportunity and room for PLA in Aus. Consistency in the quality and supply chain will be the key to success. The demand is going to increase. There is a big push from Australian universities to popularize them in the student community. So an entry into that space is a win win for you. Dineshby 3eality - Australia, Melbourne RUG
Thanks for the response Repetier, Do you think Marlin firmware is a good replacement for my Gen 6?by 3eality - General
Hi Roger, Hope you have got a chance to see my videos. I am still have the problem with my extruder. Now I have got herringbone parts. Will try to assemble it. How abt you. Regards,by 3eality - General
Thank you for the insights. After experimenting for a while, I found out that the extrusion from the extruder end is fine but the extrusion from the end of the tube is not fine. Please see two videos (1. 1. extrusion from the tube & 2. extrusion from the extruder-without tube2. extrusion from the extruder direct without tube) I think I have nailed down the problem - An suggestions pleaby 3eality - General
I currently have a Gen-6 board on my printer. It is preloaded with FiveD firmware. do you know if it supports Pronterface? Thanksby 3eality - General
I would also suggest to periodically check if there is any lateral shake. I found some balls lying on the desk. These may wear out ur smooth sliding rodsby 3eality - General
Hello, Did anyone buy stuff from makerslideasia.com. Not sure if they are genuine and are able to deliver in time.by 3eality - General
Hi, Kapton tape seems to be the most used tape on non heated print beds for PLA print outs. I am using this one and yeilds good results.by 3eality - General
- 13 years agoHi all, Got my first print that I can show to you all -A Vase. While not to a professional grade, but got better than my earlier one. A big thanks to all of you who helped me. Looking at the picture (vase) can you tell me what else I need to do to get a better surface. Couple of specific questions: 1. There is a bit of oozing in the middle and top of the vase - currently the Anti ooze seby 3eality - General
Hey Roger, You have got it. I have just finished the assembly of my Prusa (3DStuffmaker) and am in the process of making my first prints. I too struggled in the begining but think I have now understood it. I tighten the end stop screws, so that I can move them with a bit of friction. Slowly and steadily I move it by a faction and test the home button till I get 0.2mm (folded paper) height.by 3eality - General
- 13 years agoThanks guys, I have now corrected the position. My X carriage was wrongly assembled. I have reversed X carriage and now its in bottom left corner.by 3eality - General

- 13 years agoHi, After reading some posts, thought of checking with my learned friends if my home position is wrong. There is cut in my print plate. I guess this for positioning the home and extruding the PLA before starting the print. Could you please let me knowby 3eality - General
RepRappers, I am currently trying to get my prints from Bowden type of extruder that I got along with the kit (3dstuffmaker). I am spending hours and hours but in no form or shape I am getting a consistant PLA flow; I want to try another type of extruder. so do you thing Wade type is better than bowden? Or do you suggest any other extruder? Where should i look for if I want to get one? Pleby 3eality - General

Thanks nechaus for your detailed response. I have now tested the the extrusion consistency of PLA by watching it coming out of the tube. 1. It was flowing out in steps (i.e. it starts and stops with intermittent steps) 2. The extruded length is not consistent between runs Both of the above are lack or loss of friction in the extruder. Got the PLA off from the extruder, cleaned the threadsby 3eality - Reprappers

HI, A dumb question, but as I am clue less thought it is better to ask In the RepSnapper - Print menu where the extruder length and speed are given, what is the lenght mean - is it mm or cm? Dineshby 3eality - RepSnapper
Hi Melbourne RUG team, I had finished my prusa assembly and am struggling to get my first print. The biggest problem is getting a consistent PLA flow. Tried different settings but not able to get the flow. Changed 3 different PLAs and tried with one ABS - I am looking for some help from any Reprapper from Melbourne. Dear Trustnone, I like your name 'Trust None'. I was in your position couple of months ago. Now that I have assembled one, I would recommend you to build one. Yes! it is not as simple as it is ( I am a moderate techy guy) but the fun in making the thing work is enormous. Believe me, I enjoyed it And the reason why I liked your name is due to my experience with the kit I purchased. I shoulby 3eality - General
Hi Gaz, Very nice to see the assembled picture. Looks very good. How did you go with the printing? Cant wait to hear. I have just finished the assembly of my Prusa (bought from 3dstuffmaker). The instructions form the supplier are not so great, infact very pooooooor . Support team is approachable but not so helpful. They are in the journey of improving. Not that I can recommand...
