I'll try that now and let you know how it goes. P.S. I'm on Marlin. Maybe I should try Sprinter?by Jo1212 - General
I know this has been asked a lot of times before but I couldn't find an exact answer, so, here I go: I have fully assembled a Prusa Mendel i2 with RAMPS 1.4 and all of the electronics are working, the X-Axis works fine, the Y-Axis jams about twice on its path, but I think it's because the smooth rods aren't perfectly straight so that's fixable, but my main problem is that the Z-Axis just won't mby Jo1212 - General
As tleneel said, kapton tape it the best option.by Jo1212 - General
Traumflug, thank you for that link, but if you scroll up to the first picture, there's the connecter with 20/24 pins and there's one with 4, aren't you suppose to use it (2 yellow = positive, 2 black = negative)? It looks like there would be a problem with the one from hobby king: QuoteThe Hobbyking PS35 can supply a constant 25A at 14v (Max 350w). Isn't it greater than +12V? It says +14V.by Jo1212 - General
Any easy/quick methods to connect the power to RAMPS? Videos?by Jo1212 - General
So just put a "jump pin" (bent paper clip) into the holes for the Green and Black wires (highlighted in my the photo) to join them? (I've highlighted 2 places too clarify the right wires). QuoteTraumflug Cut off the disk power connectors and clamp the wire ends into the RAMPS connectors. Same procedure as with any power supply. How would I tell which connector is the disk power.by Jo1212 - General
Ok, well having the RAMPS 1.4 I don't think that will work. Does this PSU look any good? Also, would this work: I use that PSU with my RAMPS 1.4 without the heatbed pluged in, then, as soon as I can get my hands on one with a higher amount of amps. (20+ amps.) I use that instead.by Jo1212 - General
This power supply has been used on a (windows xp) PC and I don't know how old it is exactly. How much current would be required? Any links/names to a good enough one?by Jo1212 - General
I'll get a picture of the sticker/info uploaded.by Jo1212 - General
Also, how do you clean the glue of?by Jo1212 - General
I've got a 460W ATX power supply (+12 V, 18 amps.) and I was wondering what is the easiest/safest method for setting it up for use with RAMPS 1.4? Preferably, I would like to be alive the end of it so I could see my printer in action. ><by Jo1212 - General
You could try snapping about 1 inch from the end, if it's ABS, it will become white from the stress of you bending it. If it's PLA, it will snap instead.by Jo1212 - Reprappers
Is painters tape heat resistant?by Jo1212 - General
Thanks a lot for your help!by Jo1212 - General
Does anyone have a particular way to apply kapton tape to the sheet of glass on top of the heatbed? Any videos/pictures? I don't want to put it on wrong, finding out I need to remove it all and do it again.by Jo1212 - General
Personally, I think some people including me, would like to be able to scan an object, and print it out in its smooth form (not all "blocky").by Jo1212 - General
I will let you know how it goes. Thanks!by Jo1212 - General
Progress update?by Jo1212 - Reprappers
Yes, the path where the filament goes (through the Extruder and the Hotend) looks straight to me. Should I try it first, if it doesn't work, get the Extruder you posted printed?by Jo1212 - General
Aligning the inner and outer holes with the Budaschnozzle's holes, it looks like it will fit. Also, the center is a big hole with a smaller hole inside. I hope I don't have to get someone to print it too.by Jo1212 - General
Sorry it took so long, but here they are:by Jo1212 - General
I will try different thing I've got on hand like kapton tape, hair spray ect. I should clean the glue/hair spray off the bed (with cleaning alcohol) after every use right?by Jo1212 - Reprappers
