@droftarts - I haven't any finalised as yet, but should have within a couple of weeks, then I'll be happy to share. I second droftarts thoughts about the situation regarding electronics versions and current licensing covering them as obviously I too don't want to upset anyone and would like to ensure everyone gets their fair dues. I like the idea of small licensing fees as it keeps things afforby Bluesteel - Controllers
I've been looking at doing the same thing, for Gen7, Sanguinololu and RAMPS as it would be useful to have a UK source of electronics. I have a few colleagues who are professional PCB builders and have access to PCB manufacturing kit for private projects. They've been over the files and think the main boards are fairly straightforward to make quite inexpensively. The stepper drivers are a littlby Bluesteel - Controllers

I'll keep an eye on that as I'm also building Prusa just a few rail stops North of you, and you're in advance of me now, as my electronics and motors have taken a long time to arrive fromby Bluesteel - United Kingdom RepRap User Group

I've just ordered my Electronics and Stepper Motors from Mendel-Parts.com and gone for the Gen 6 for now. I had a bit of hassle setting up my details on their site, but it seems to have worked now. Not sure how long they will take to come because they are in the Netherlands, as I couldn't find a UK source. But I've still got more work on the hardware to do anyway.by Bluesteel - Reprappers
Now my Prusa is starting to take shape, the plastics and metals are coming together quite nicely, I need to think about motors and electrics. Does anyone know any good UK sources for the RAMPS/Gen6/Sanguino etc? Those I've found so far are either mainland Europe or USA, it would be nice to be able to source entirely within the UK.by Bluesteel - Reprappers
Hi Shaun, If you are still looking for plastic parts from a UK supplier, and can't managed to knab a set from RepRap Ltd, then I'd also recommend sourcing from nophead on these forums (drop him pm). He sorted me a set of plastic parts (including Wades Extruder) for a very good price and with rapid delivery too.by Bluesteel - Wanted
I'm in the UK and just collecting parts for a Prusa. I just have to work out the best place to source the electronics. RAMPS 1.3 and NEMA 17 stepper motor seem to be the order of the day from what I gather. I'm not very familiar with the electronics side of things, but I guess I'll just have to learnby Bluesteel - Reprappers
Is it possible to make the UK User Group easier to find? It's hidden at the bottom of the Europe section in very small text. I've been on the Forums for days before I managed to find it, and that was only because someone else told me where to look for it!by Bluesteel - Request a Local RepRap User Group

I'm in the process of assembling the parts for a Prusa in Downham Market, Norfolk, UK. Already two of my friend who know what I'm doing have become quite anxious to get their hands on one too... Julianby Bluesteel - United Kingdom RepRap User Group
Hi Andrew, you're the second person to suggest sourcing from Nophead, who seems to have a good reputation here on the Forum. If I can't get a set from RepRap Ltd in the next few days I may well drop him a PM. As for the electronics, I'm in research mode at the moment and am tending towards RAMPS 1.3 or possibly the new 1.4 as advertised elsewhere on the Forum. Nano Ink (Nink) is now available in HP Cartridge or refill format from Nano-Labs, probably a more suitable format for the RepRap. As soon as I get my Prusa built I hope to experiment: Julianby Bluesteel - Developers
I'm in the same situation, I have the hardware but can't source the printed parts. However I don't think RepRap Ltd have stopped selling them, I had an email from Adrian yesterday to say that they will be adding more soon - but I suspect they will sell out very quickly as it appears there's a major shortage of RepRap Prusa printed parts in the UK. Personally I see the RepRap as the first step on a very long top down road to the ultimate* desktop fabricator along Drexlarian Nanotechnology lines, such as the desktop Nanofactory: In this context the RepRap is one part of a larger replication machine or factory at a macro level. It might take several desktops and years more development to get close to a true replicator even at the macro levby Bluesteel - Developers
Has anyone investigated the possibilities of using Carbon Nanotube Inks (Nink) for printing circuits in combination with RepRap printers? Apparently it's available in HP45 compatible cartridges: It looks like there are some cleaning maintenance issues, but not insurmountable. It's a tad expensive at the moment $200 - $250 depending on if its SWNT or MWNT, but like all things if it has any useby Bluesteel - Developers
Hello, I’m Julian from Norfolk, UK and I’ve just taken the plunge and started collecting parts to make my first RepRap Prusa, but have run into sourcing problems. I’ve managed to order the hardware parts from what looks like a good eBay seller, but can’t find any sources for the printed/plastic parts or electronics/motors in the UK. I’ve looked around sellers on the Forum and the online UK 3d Prby Bluesteel - Reprappers
