Hello DC,
Yes please - I would like a fully populated one but if it gets too much for you to build a kit of parts would be fine as long as the instructions are good.

Matt
Just printed your y-belt-clamp version 7 but I think my printer is not quite good enough to print accurately. Although the 2 parts look good and are square in all directions the gap between the sections where the belt should grip the groves is so small that I can not get the belt inserted. I assume that they printed OK on your printer so I must have something wrong.
Have you any ideas what

Hi John,
I have printed your y-idler set but had a few problems.
Only 1 of the (washers) was printed, the other one just printed a round bar which would have been the hole.
I think my printer or the settings I an using are not good enough for this print because I could not get your belt tensioners to grip the belt without slipping. The groves that match the belt seem very small.

Question for dc42,
I understand that you have moved your sensor to the fan assembly. What have you done so that X-home works?

Thank you Erik,
I followed your instructions and found this mod very easy to do. I am sure that bed instability has been the root cause of all my problems so I can't thank you enough for a good solution.
I have been thinking about the insulation problem, it strikes me that we need a material that can adjust itself to different thicknesses, my gap ranges from 8mm at the rear to 5mm at the front so

Hi Matt,
Thank you for a great design, I have used many of your parts especially the gears.
What fan will you be using with this mod?
Anything to make the fan quieter will be a big benefit.
At long last, with the help of all the posts on the form I have now got a good printer that seems to be working consistently. I did despair a few days ago when everything was going wrong, it seemed as if the

Hi,
I thought I had printed the latest version but after printing it looks nothing like the green one on the recent posts. The one I printed has clips top and bottom and has 15 openings, looking like a fan. However, it does not quite fit width seems OK but the height is short. This may be my printer settings, I am re checking everything today and re-commissioning.
Could somebody provide the ag

I am running windows 7 and chrome Version 32.0.1700.107 m and connect via a home router which has connections for my ink jet printer, a network backup device, raspberry PI and main computer. I am using your firmware build RepRapFirmware-057l-dc42.bin
This is what happens:-
I switch on Ormerod with just the main power. start chrome, input the ip address and the interface starts.
Everything is dimm

This filament comes in a brown box and the only markings I can see are 3D printer filament and a sticker which says PLA 1.75mm Green Sea G131104PIGS100-T.
I'll try it at higher temps but I think I have been sold a pup.

Thank you for the information. I will start from scratch in the morning and re-calibrate G31 and recheck my other findings. I'm sure I tried the refresh button and nothing happened, the list remained the same.

Hi,
Thank you for this interface. I do like the design and layout, however, I have a few problems:-
1. When I open the page in chrome it opens fine but when I click connect the button turns green and says connected but nothing happens, no controls are working it's all greyed out. If I then click online to go offline the button goes red and says offline, then I click again and this time all items

Hi all,
I have just changed to a 1.4 Kg reel from ebay, I followed the link from one of the entries on this forum after they were pleased with the result.
However, when I print the skirt and first layer are not sticking.
I have not change my method of cleaning between prints I use Isopropanol. The original filament as supplied with the kit stuck really well.
I am wondering if it has anything to

Hi just tried to update firmware using dc42's file - 0571-dc42.bin
I used the command
bossac --port=COM4 -U true -e -w -v -b RepRapFirmware-0571-dc42.bin -R
This produces the output:-
Erase flash
No such file or directory
Any ideas what could be wrong?
Thanks

Thank you for all responses, I remember about furniture polish on curtain tracks and have used that myself.
I will treat all gears with polish and print a spare set.

Yes that was it Matt, thank you
For some reason I can't create an account on tinkercad so could you post your stl file please.
Bye the way I have printed all of your modifications and am pleased to say that the 2 sets of gears work really well.
Thank you for that

Thank you Dave
I have lightly oiled the z rod and thought the gears would benefit from some grease.
I wonder how long they would last with no lubrication?
I'll ponder this some more and see what other users do.

Hi all,
I saw a picture somewhere of an orange A frame to hold a filament reel but I have searched and just can't find it again.
Has anybody got stl files for a frame please.
Thank you

Hi again
The documentation says that I should be able to upload g file by clicking on the SD button and then DS upload but this option is greyed out.
Any ideas?

Thank you to all who responded, I think my issue has been resolved. It may be the belt twisted the other way or the fact that I re-did the belt tightening that solved the step problem.
I have successfully printed the Orthogonal Axis test pieces and they were quite acceptable. I have inputted the readings into my setbed.g file and am now printing Erik's Single Wall Alignment Test which seems to

Ray,
Thank you for your response.
I would like a gcode file please as I have not even thought about slicing etc. yet. That's the next thing once I am happy that the printer is working correctly.
My belt is really tight and produces an audible tone as described in the directions. Is it possible to have the belt too tight?
It will be good to print out a box in the morning

I've twisted the belt the other way in the hope that it will not rub on the idler bracket, I've also tensioned the belt again.
Is there a small print I could do to test?

I have now printed 3 copies of the orthogonal axis compensation items and each one has steps on the lower part. I have made various adjustments and re-checks, the bed is level and the Y drive belt is tight with a twang.
If you look at the machine from the front, the piece on the left (Y+ direction) has a 1.5mm high x 0.5mm width step then 5.0mm higher is straight then the last step in 0.5mm and

Thank you for your replies. I was wondering what the extra PTFE tube was for. I have now run the filament through the tube between one of the 3 notches on the x-arm and the filament drive. It seems to work, I'll give it a good test while I print my second set of angles.

Hi again, my second post.
The reprappro firmware wilki shows the menu items under file :- Upload config and Upload reprap.html but when I run Pronterface these items are missing.
I followed the link from the installation guide of my Ormerod and assumed that I had downloaded the correct reprappro version.
What I downloaded was RepRapPro-Printrun-Slic3r.zip and in that zip is pronterface.exe versio

Hi all,
This is my first post. I have printed my first items, the set up set. This print took about 3 hrs and I had to sit there and help the filament from the spool because the feeder had problems pulling the filament all the way from the spool on the control board around the back of the vertical assembly and wiring and then into the extruder feed mechanism. As the filament was being fed it se
