Are you sure that the new ATMEGA1284 has a bootloader installed?

Your mouse pointer doesn't show a slider when you are over one of the margins that would allow you to bring back the missing parts?

Schau mal in diesem Thread.

Essentially, the macro SDSUPPORT must be set to have support of the SD card reader. Depending on the version of Marlin and the display used this is done either directly in Configuration.h or automatically by means of some #ifdefs as a result of the defined display type.

I think that as long as you have a MIN TEMP error you cannot enter the submenus.

Do you mean something like that?
$fn=100;
cylinder(h=4,r=13.5);
translate([0,0,4]) cylinder(h=5,r1=13.5,r2=6);
for(a=[0:120:359])
rotate(a)translate([13.5,0,4])
rotate([0,atan2(5,13.5-6),0])
translate([-6/2-1,0,0])
cylinder(r=3,h=20);

...
// ==> REMEMBER TO INSTALL U8glib to your ARDUINO library folder: http:// code.google.com/p/u8glib/wiki/u8glib

You could also try to connect a cheap USB-to-TTL converter directly to the TTL pins (RX0/TX0/DTR) that are underneath the USB plug. But first you should try to see if you can program the ATmega644/1284 directly via ISP, using your other Ardiuno as an ISP programmer (see here).

QuoteIs there a way i cant tell whether or not the microcontroller is functioning properly?
If you have an ISP programmer or another Arduino (Uno, Nano, Mega ... using ArduinoISP sketch) you can try to upload a program via the ISP header. This should work even if the FTDI chip is dead.
QuoteAlso is it possible the ftdi chip was fried along with the 7805?

QuoteI just plugged the cable into one of the two pin connectors between the stepper drivers, surely this is ok?
Surely this is ok. I was more afraid that you were using the auxiliary 14pin connector - there, the 5V and 12V are side by side and can easily be shorted...

Have you verified the voltage on the 5V pin?
How exactly did you connect the extruder fan? Any chance that you caused some short between 5V and 12V or 5V and GND?
For solving the USB 5V/7805 issues, see here.

You could use something like module multicyl() below which creates a stack of cylinders using an array of entries, in your case:
multicyl([,,,]);
I also included multicone() which allows the same kind of stacking for cones:
// stack of multiple cylinders defined by an array of entries
module multicyl( dh , index=0) {
if(len(dh)>index){
cylinder(d=dh[0],h=dh[1]);

Nao podes voltar a velha configuracao?
