For info on patent expiry dates, see the USPTO's Patent Term Calculator page. Disclaimer: I Am Not A Lawyer but reviewed semiconductor patents a rather long time ago. Roughly summarized: - If a patent was filed after June 7, 1995 then it expires 20 years from that filing date. - If a patent was filed before June 7, 1995 then it expires 17 years after it's issuing date. Yeah, that was myself and Catarina doing the live kit build in the 3D Printer Village. Neither of us relished the thought of crossing international borders with our own 'bots so we asked the MakerBot folks to donate a kit with a Frostruder. We got it built and extruding Nutella and Strawberry frosting on pieces of bread by lunchtime on Sunday (that landed up being my lunch). We free-raffled ofby clothbot - General

Nope, ReplicatorG only uploads GCode and interacts with the MakerBot variant of Gen3 electronics firmware. Skeinforge is still the primary STL slicer software.by clothbot - RepSnapper

Aside: The change is to ./fabmetheus_utilities/settings.py My particular fix doesn't work exactly as I'd hoped/expected - it creates ./.skeinforge if it doesn't find it instead of falling through to ~/.skeinforge - but it's useful to me. A.by clothbot - RepRap Host

Hey Enrique, Is there a way to pass to skeinforge a different settings directory path from the command-line? I've been gradually piecing together some code to construct "calibration unit tests", to explore how different combinations of skeinforge settings affect simple model print results. I tweaked my own local skeinforge install to search for and use "./.skeinforge" if it's found (see ), butby clothbot - RepRap Host

Hey Everyone, Sebastien's determined to recruit my MakerBot to the birthing process! I'll start going through the motions of printing Mendel parts, see what needs to be tweaked for my 'bot and materials at hand - just black or white ABS at the moment. I have a second extruder I need to assemble to handle HDPE; I prefer swapping extruders over mixing materials. Since the bulk filament is purchby clothbot - Canada, Ottawa-Gatineau RUG
