Hi all, who has managed to run an Arduino Mega with ReplicatorG? I compiled and uploaded the reprap-gen3-firmware-1.1 successfully but when starting ReplicatorG it founds firmware 0.4 ?! I haven't any other hardware atached, only testing the pins - but hope to get it running soon ... Hi Phil, ... i'm not damonb - but i'm going similar ways ... My different stepper-drivers are some selfmade IMT901-drivers and a SMC11 from Naotec with 1/8-microstepping and max 2Amps and 3 drivers from IMS with 1/256-microstepping and 3Amps continuous, 4Amps max. Viktorby VDX - Mechanics

Hi Marcus, ... the standard reprap can't but its adressed and there's development/experimenting in this area ... AFAIK actual firmware and tools can adress several extruders, so it's more the software generating the 3D-objects, where you have to apply supporting structures. Hi Marcus, ... either you design objects embedding cavities with a separation-layer for removing the inner debris or you can remove it from a hole from the outside or when fabbing with different materials, then you can use water-soluble support material and wash it away. With LOM-fabbing ist's similar - either separation-layers and/or a fine cutting hatch for the material in the inner cavitiesby VDX - 3D Design tools
Hi proto, ... when going the LOM-way i don't need any supporting structures as the surrounding area acts in the same way. But then it's something tricky with horizontal object-surfaces - here i have to apply a fine hatch on the outside perimeter of the object (for cutting the neigboured sheet in small bits which don't stick) to separate the object after laminating ... Hi Bodgelt, ... which file-formats exports Kicad? Some thirty years ago i had to convert the data from a pixel image (hardcopy from the screen) into vector-outlines and reprocess them for my first CNC-mill (when home, i'll try to find some of the old prototypes). Today most PCB-programms can export at least one common format for milling or vector graphics intended for postprocessing in CAD. Bby VDX - Controllers
