I have used Buildtak on non heated beds : Acrylic, aluminium and wood. I have a printbite surface that I am starting to use on a heated bed (borosilicate glass). The major advantage of Buildtak is that it gives good adhesion on a non heated bed provided the underlying support is insulating. However, for the Buildtak to adhere, it needs to be heated by the filament you deposit on (and also by thby PRZ - General
Not all mechanical end stops work well. I set a bunch of ten and some have the NO connection not working, while the NC work. Duet 0.8.5 is also sold by builda3dprinter.eu in the Nederlands, so you may save a few euros on shipping, however, they seems to be always out of stock. You may ask them.by PRZ - Duet
Note than on the Duet 0.8.5 expansion connector (not on the Duet 0.6) the Fan1 signal is available on pin 18, so you may wire directly this pin to the servo signal. However, it is probably inverted, so you may use 'M106 P1 I1' to invert signalby PRZ - Duet
Ah, with this info, it is more clear. The M280 code (RC servo command) does not exist in RepRap Firmware, but it may be a nice addition as RC servo are a low cost manner to motorise some stuff. The command signal of a servo is a repeated signal of length 1000 microseconds (servo at -90°) to 2000 microseconds (servo at +90°), every 20 ms. from 500 microsecond to 2500 microsecond, angle goes fby PRZ - Duet
The BLtouch is an interesting idea, notably because it will be quite insensitive to temperature. There is a demo with Smoothie, so I suppose it does accept 3.3V signal. It is told that it uses the same signal as an RC servo, then it qualifies this signal as PWM, while servo signal are not PWM, but specific signals. The time diagram is not clear, so I think some questions shall be asked to theby PRZ - Duet
Asbo and MightyMouth, Thank you. I have acetone in my remote workshop, but I print in my flat and was not very found using it as it is quite a dangerous chemical, hence was not in my list. Will use it if this is the only positive report, anyway.by PRZ - General

You have an example of a macro bed.g for a cartesian (here an Ormerod ) here : RepRap_Firmware_macros#bed.g Another possibility is to set the probe points directly in config.g, without creating a bed.g - this is an extract of the Ormerod image on DC42 repository -. ;*** Adjust the XY coordinates in the following M557 commands to suit your build and the position of the IR sensor M557 P0 X60by PRZ - Duet
Following the implementation of M581/M582 in DC42 V1.13 version, I implemented a filament presence detection, which I paralleled with a push button to allow user stopping a print from the machine itself. I added simple hardware to my direct drive extruder tensioner (I will published this part and a more generic one in another message). The switch tab was slightly bent for proper operation.by PRZ - Duet
The Firmware (executed in the board) and the web interface (executed in your browser) are independant, while they communicate through G-codes. See RepRap_Firmware#Overview and Duet_Web_Control#Principle_of_operation However, a given firmware revision may need a minimum version of DWC. This may be indicated in the release notes. No, 1.2mm is ok and speed shall be the fastest possible, so 150mm/sec is ok (while some disagree with that) Check when you are doing retracts, sometimes, too many retract are problematic, you may avoid retract on layer change and also avoid crossing perimeters. Anyway, test at 280°C For information, I have a PETG which needs 290°C, while others needs only 255°C PET temperature may be similarby PRZ - General
Your retract shall be quite low, especially with a very short Bowden. PET/PETG are more compressible than PLA, but they flow very easily, so with low compression force, you may need less retract. I don't know if you can install a Volcano on a V5, but that is better for PET/PETG Temperature may need to be very high, the max till you have oozing.by PRZ - General

On my D-Box, I use both and in fact I set the DC/DC converter at 10V to reduce noise (for filter recycling fan and board cooling fan). I use 5V for hotend controlled and fixed fans (Sunon), as original 24V hotend fan died. See hereby PRZ - Duet
So, I added a paragraph 'License' in The Prusa steel page here : I also created a page 'Licenses' to clarify a bit the topic and try to avoid confusion between software, hardware and documentation licenses. Some cleanup shall be done in the text of the associated category.by PRZ - General
The b) clause is not about commercial, fees or money exchange or source availability. This is the 'viral' part of the license, which oblige the person using the work, whatever the context, to release under GPL the ensemble if any sub-ensemble work is already licensed in GPL. On the wiki page of P3 steel it is indicated that the P3 steel is a derivative of Prusa i3 , which is licensed under GPL. Someone making a derivative work cannot modify the licence if the original licence requires derivative to propagate the license (which GPL do, so called 'viral' license) and making it NC (non commercial) is against the will of the original Prusa creator. from the GPL : Quby PRZ - General
I had written below stuff for the Fisher, but it may apply for any delta. The 6 parameters add to the 4 parameters test the angular position of the X and Y columns (they search if the triangle is not equilateral), as this is a current default on "Kossel type" printers. This is why there is only X and Y angle, the Z angle being the reference angle. For a construction like the Fisher, these defaulby PRZ - Duet
I did'nt get good results with Ziegler-Nichols method either. 0.5°C stability with 2°C overshoot is a good result, so no reason to complain. Indeed, your parameters looks ok for the power. Aussiephil, the reason I have different temperature between pad thermistor or aluminium spreader thermistor is that my bed is in glass (borosilicate), so with much less heat conductivity than your full aluminium bed. This pad from jsr. industrial (diam 400mm, 500W) looks a bit more reasonable in power and is less costly. My bed pad cames from this supplier.
