Hi, I almost got my Creality printers working with Marlin 2.1-bugfix and stable 2.1.2.2. Ender 3 Pro and CR10-S5 both using BL-touch probe and the Creality STM32 427 board. What I post here is from the CR10-S5, but the Ender behaves exactly the same. It suddenly stopped working. And I do not have any idea what caused it. maybe a recent change in bugfix (a few days)? with stable 2.1.2.2 it justvon JPT - Firmware - Marlin
Does your probe accidentally measure onto the clamps holding the bed? set the measuring matrix to 3x3 so it does not take too much time and then watch every movement until finished. which printer do you use? did printing work without BL touch?von JPT - Firmware - Marlin
Hi, I am currently fine-tuneing my Marlin 2.1.x-bugfix.zip build. It's the Creality 32 bit board V 427 on the Creality CR-10S5 printer plus Creality BL touch sensor. I've got several problems and cannot find solutions: G26 C creates a pattern to test the auto-leveling. But it sends all my clamps flying that should hold the glass to the bed. This is because it prints 5 mm from the edge of thevon JPT - Firmware - Marlin
Well, it works now. That is, printing works fine. the command I used for testing G26 C P5.0 F3.0 assumed 3 mm filament.von JPT - Firmware - Marlin
Great, thank you! it was about disabling #define Z_MIN_PROBE_USES_Z_MIN_ENDSTOP_PIN No, I use the original sockets and plugs, I cut the cables and added custom plugs in between to attach 2x Z-Axis motors to one plug etc. Now I try to guess the correct Z offset. That'll take some time... I use the M851 command for that? The hot-end fans are off. any idea why that is? I remember they should bevon JPT - Firmware - Marlin
The guide does not work. There is no Z_PROBE_OFFSET_FROM_EXTRUDER This was a variable from Marlin 1.1, so is the guide THAT old? aborts after homing X and Y SENDING:G28 Error:!! Hi, I finally succeded in installing marlin 2.1.x-bugfix on my Creality CR-10S5plus BT touch and STM32F103 board version 4.2.7. (I used the Ender 3 config) But I just don't know how to make autoleveling UBL work. It doesn't even home the Z axis any more. (z end-stop is disabled as it is said to interfere with the probe) I found several guides on how to configure Marlin for UBL. but that is tvon JPT - Firmware - Marlin

Hallo seefew, welchen Autodetect meinst du? udev? Cura tut autodetecten.
Hi, I'v got a Sangoinololu with current Marlin firmware. SD card is attached but says: "SD init fail" upon access. Before I attached the SD card reader, "SD init fail" was shown at bootup already. Hallo, ja, ich habe bei Ultimaker auch gesucht, aber nix passendes gefunden. Hey spurtee, I cannot see any indication of the position on my pots. but yes, the range would match 7 - 4. 3 of my pots do have a limit, one doesn't. maybe I applied to much force to this one. It is said, if they do not deliver enough power, you should try to apply a fan. Because they will just switch off if they became too hot which also results in lost steps. The top layer prints awfully. What could be the cause? Bottom and Perimeter print more or less well. When I print x/y narrow parts, the infill seems to be too much. But this looks to be far to few material. Is the extruder losing steps? is there any other problem in PLA feed? (I already own 4 hobbed bolts. The best one is in use) I tried to reduce top layer speed from 30 mm/s (photo) to 20 mmvon JPT - Reprappers
Thanks, but did not help. Sorry, I did not mention what exactly was wrong: If you look from the bottom, you see that the the whole loft prints into thin air, because slicer omits a ring of PLA. Exactly the difference of the plate and the loft.von JPT - Slic3r
Hi, I created a an STL file in FreeCAD-nightly using the loft tool. Slic3r doesn't produce a correct gcode file. Since FreeCAD has got a lot of bugs regarding lofts: Where should I complain? This should be the job of the slicer. Since the slicer knows about the target printer. Designing parts is about avoiding bridges etc and should not include using modified dimensions in order to fix problems like this. Maybe I get in touch with the author of slic3er... have to report another bug. Yeah, trial and error describes reprap printing very good. Had a lot of it already, parts are becomvon JPT - Reprappers
Hi, Everything I print is almost exactly 0.5 mm too big in X and Y directions. For example, a 4 mm hole will be only 3.5 mm in diameter. The length of an object will be 100.5 instead of 100mm. I't not caused by miscalibrated X and Y travel because the error is constant. I believe it's caused by the amount of PLA I print. But if I reduce the amount of PLA applied, the object will not stick tovon JPT - Reprappers
Thank you very much! It works now. The solution was to reduce max Z speed. 5mm/s looks soooo slooowww but was even too fast. Well, the motors are just cold, but the pololus are hot, approx. 80°C. They only have heat sinks, no fan. Well, this was a kit. But the kit sucks. I did not choose any of the components. I trusted in the vendor I wonder why printing works at all: just before print start Sli3cer orders the z-axis up (which is blocked always), after that it moves down again to start printing. this is blocked by the bed. so the head sits directly on the glass. calibrating the distance between glass and hotend at envon JPT - Reprappers
