These have now gone.by reprappro - For Sale
Following our factory clearance, we have a range of machines in various states of disrepair, see photos below. Price is £150 for the lot, buyer collection only from BS35 1RF, UK.by reprappro - For Sale
No, sorry, RS aren't stocking spare parts. Send an email to Sally Bowyer on info at reprappro dot com, she deals with sales, and doesn't have the backlog I do on support emails. If you still need a replacement IR sensor, we'll put one in under warranty. Copy me in too, so I remember! Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
For cleaning the nozzle out, it's the same as changing filament/clearing a blocked nozzle (though you may have to do it a couple of times): 1. Heat nozzle to operating temperature (200C for PLA) 2. Extrude a little filament, like 10mm (if possible) 3. Set temperature to 100C 4. Wait for the temperature to drop to 100C, then reverse filament until it comes out of the extruder drive (about 380mm).by reprappro - Ormerod
Yes. Change the gateway address to 192.168.0.1 and the ip address of the printer to 192.168.0.## where ## is a number that isn't another device's ip address on the network. A few routers don't like static ip addresses that are outside of the router's DHCP range, though most should be okay. And most routers are usually okay if you put it within the DHCP range, so long as it's not the same as anoby reprappro - Ormerod
Hi ozeng Yes, I've ordered you a new Duet, should go out today. I guessed that this was your first card. I'm not sure that the two small vias either side of the ground pad are significant - there's no pin on the USB socket that connects with them. There are two tiny lugs on the bottom, but they don't line up with the visa, and I have no idea if they are supposed to. Yes, it is impossible to seeby reprappro - Ormerod
Hi Richard I was just getting to your email... Also, your username is your email name, so I suggest changing it, unless you *like* spam! Yes, it does look very tight. Not sure why that is, possibly the printer that printed it had a problem. We can replace it, if you'd like. Did you have any problems with other parts? Not that it makes too much difference, but the top two screws usually have theby reprappro - Ormerod
The data sheet says this has a beta value of 3350–3399K, much lower than ours. Your bed will report a temperature higher than actual, by about 5-10C, I think. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
I don't know! What is it's beta value? Link to product? Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
MrCrispi: What thermistor have you used? You need a 10k thermistor, and if it doesn't have the same beta value (3988) as ours, your temperatures will be inaccurate. Our bed thermistor: Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
Hi Markus It looks more like a Z axis movement problem to me, like those layers are not moving up enough, so it squashes out like the filling in a sandwich. Are you on the latest firmware? The nodules on corners look like you need to increase retraction distance and/or speed. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
If you haven't mounted the hot end yet, the belt pulls the x-carriage idler bearing back off the x-axis-plate. When you fit the hot end, the weight pulls the bearing into contact. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
I've updated the instructions on Duet firmware flashing, hopefully to make it a bit clearer: However, I've removed the 'true' flag from the bossac command, as I have had reports this wasn't working, and was even on the phone to a customer and had to remove it (Windows 7, I think) to get the flash to work. The bossac instruction page also doesn't mention it, either: I changed it from (Windowsby reprappro - Ormerod
Hi Dave Don't bother with the foil, use white paper as a target, it actually works better! We're dropping the foil from the kit. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
@dieterzar - Yes, at the moment everything runs from 12V. The Duet was designed to encompass a wide number of environments, and it was felt that having a single 12V supply was a sensible choice. However, there are also 5V input, and attaching pin headers is possible. There are also pin headers for supplying 5V on the ATX power PCB; I think markbee has been running his Duet like this. There is noby reprappro - Ormerod
It's more likely that the thermistor is shorting out somewhere, probably at the bed end, or the connectors. You're going to have to find the fault, unfortunately. @GregL: You can only test resistances with power off. No, a multimeter won't damage the board, and the thermistor has no polarity, so there's not even a wrong way around to use the probes! Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
Cool! We'll be testing it soon... Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
The bed thermistor is shorting out! Or you've put the cable together incorrectly, and the middle two wires are not the thermistor, or it's plugged into the board incorrectly. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
Well done Marcus! However, doing it with just one adjuster, something like this, would be nice... Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
Yes, probably the difference between binary and ASCII STL files. See Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
Temporarily override the bed thermistor with a 10k resistor - this should test if there's a problem with the board. You can test the bed thermistor by unplugging the ribbon cable, putting a couple of pin headers in the centre of the ribbon cable, and checking the resistance. You can also check it on the board (if you don't have pin headers): with the ribbon cable plugged in, and power off, measby reprappro - Ormerod

Most customers, who are printing ABS, are doing it with our supplied PSU - see the other links in this forum. Quotetru168Why not Reprap pro stop using PC PSU as standard power supply and include an industrial type together with kit set? It's not within the budget range of this printer. The ATX PSU is cheap, ubiquitous, has standard connections, passes CE tests, has a power switch, and is easy fby reprappro - Ormerod
Hi Victors We have been supplying two different ATX power supplies. The Alpine is actually the higher output one, and should say on it that it supplies +12V with 30A. The Ace PSU is lower rated, at 22A. However, the machine should not draw even close to this much current, at 12V. The PSU we supply with our Mendel kit (12V 20A PSU for LED lights) is capable of having it's voltage turned up a bitby reprappro - Ormerod
There's a list of filament suppliers here: Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
I tried heat soaking a spool of filament in a fan oven, as it seemed to have absorbed a lot of moisture when printed. I'd found some instructions on the forum that suggested an hour at 40C would be good. Unfortunately, a fan oven is NOT accurate at low temperatures, and it probably heated it at about 80C - I ended up with a lot of plastic spaghetti - al dente! It took a long time for the smell ofby reprappro - Ormerod
Dave_Longdown: Thanks for the feedback! Hopefully Arduino will get this fixed, soon. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
PS Great picture, kwikius! The trouble is, most people can't see inside the brass union! Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
The whole hot end section is due for a rewrite, with new pictures. It's quite easy to tell if you've gone far enough into the Bowden tube union; if you take the brass union back off, the thread on the PTFE should be 10mm long. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
You may need to change the stepper driver current to achieve higher speeds. In config.g they are set to 800 milliamps, it would be worth setting them to 1000 milliamps. The motors should still not get warm. Ian RepRapPro tech supportby reprappro - Ormerod
