Hi, I'm using an Omerod 1 with 1 extruder. I've just updated from the official firmware pages. And found that under the usb mode it states that T1 tool isn't selected. Squashed lettering - 12 years ago

Hi, if I do some lettering on a flat disc about 1mm high (the lettering) it all gets squashed. Are there any specific reasons for this?

I thought that about Easter eggs. I tried out printing an egg cup to check the height, but fan base started getting caught, so looks like I might have to use some washers. Though I'm not sure anyone has said anything about the nozzle needing to be x about lower than the duct, I guess technically they should be parallel.

Thanks. I'd be interested to know about the snowman thickness. But I might have a go at an eggcup. It should be a bit of a clue as to whether there was anything wrong. I stopped it when the nozzle mount went back to x. I just have a energy saving bulb, which it fluorescent I think. I know I fitted a 15mm laser cut ply disc which has a slot in it to balance the nozzle. The bearing was too small.

Well I've had some success. I put the white tape on but actually zeroed the x at z100. It went through silently. But basically I didn't run the bed levelling at all. So it allowed my g92 z value. But I'll want to sort it out. Should the snowman be just 2mm thick? The outside doesn't ring falls apart, but it barely prints it. But it's a pretty reasonable success. There's hope!!! So it doesn't act

Thanks. I think I'll have to take the manual option, I can do the white tape now. The other problem, is that at times it prevents me from setting the z to zero and continues to report a plus or minus figure and ignores the G92 command. Any idea what does this?

I'm finding that after zeroing the z axis when I start a print, it can start 1-2mm too high. Firstly at the beginning of a print, when the carriage goes back to the x-axis, can this change the figures? Are there codes to receive from the printer the z-comp value and the automatic bed setting values. I'm not keen on using the z-probe having these problems, but have sent g92z0 and then used the pr

It's a daft question, but just to be sure, is the point of the z axis compensation to get the sensor to be a certain height above the bed and program the duet as such. At more like 1.8mm I have a reading of 950 ish, but for a reading of 650 it is at more like 3.2mm above the bed. Should I be sending g31 z1.8 p950 to get z home to be 1.8mm then? The instructions were more instruction and less exp

I don't think mine likes the mini sd card either, as a green model I thought it would work. I took a break at that point, so I'm going to try and get it going now.

I pushed and pushed and it went on. Though I doubt the other one will as I broke the terminal, but I might have 1 female terminal, gas torches and some Hs tube... I think it might be good to mention it in the manual about them having completely covered terminals. Well it's doable As for the serial no. Well all I can find is a general cover letter and a packing list. And a parcel force letter.

They look like your suppose to attach a connector block to them and then to the terminal (they may have female pins), I have just tried to peel back the HS but it broke the terminal in half, but never mind. I wondered about a male terminal plier crimped to the end stop, the just pushed onto that. But I'm wondering what part it's supposed to be. Anyway I ran out of terminals by using the wrong on

Does anyone know what I can use to to replace the connectors to the endstop with. I got as far as finishing to build and found I had no way if doing this. My two wires have black heatshink around the ends, and it looks like there are connectors in the images. Btw. Mines green, with revised parts, it arrived Xmas eve after RS had run out of numbered reds. I was amazed as they were prolonging the

I have managed to order one, I wondered if anyone knew which way round the dimensions go for the footprint? Or more to the point, the size of the base. Presumably the figure includes the length of the arm which is going over the table.
