Hey Josh, Had my first print-attempt (Ormaxis) yesterday and had a somewhat similar problem. The bed compensation and homing seems right, but after a while the print gets dragged around by the print head. Have you solved your issue, and can you tell me what you did plus your temperature settings? Thanks in advance! Henrikby luposlip - Ormerod
Quotealanbattersby I am using ubuntu 13.10 is it a problem with the OS? It works fine for me with Ubuntu 13.10. Not the first time though. The trick that did it for me was to start arduino/pronterface with sudo. Here's one of my shell scripts for the record: #! /usr/bin/env sh cd ~/Downloads/arduino-1.5.5 sudo ./arduino Hope that helps! Quotedroftarts Don't assume that the defaults will work on your network. You need to set your config.g so that: Thanks Ian, but the defaults actually do work on my network I'll check the voltages. Best, Henrikby luposlip - Ormerod
Quotemarkbee did you test if the 12V supply outputs 5V/ 3.3V (JP9 enabled)? On some boards the step down regulator is dead and thus the web interface won't work. No, I'll definitely try to measure this tomorrow. Funny that it seems to work the first time, isn't it? Best, Henrikby luposlip - Ormerod
Hi there, This worked in the weekend - X-axis homing that is. But today it doesn't. The X-axis carriage tries to go beyond the limits of the axis - it moves towards the motor really fast, and the motor just keeps pulling resulting in a jerky noise coming from the belt :-( It seems like the Z-axis probe doesn't recognize the foil anymore, but I haven't changed a thing. Hi Alan, On my Mac I get a list of (valid) ports to choose from. It seems like you might not have chosen a valid port. In my case the ports are called something similar to /dev/tty.usbmodemfa131. Hope you can find a valid port on your machine! Best, Henrikby luposlip - Ormerod
Quoteluposlip Noone found another reason for this issue? I'm seing the same. Well, I borrowed my wifes SD card and copied the 3 folders onto it. It works. Conclusion: The supplied SD card is useless. Best, Henrikby luposlip - Ormerod
Noone found another reason for this issue? I'm seing the same. It worked just fine. Then I updated the config.g with new Z-axis calibration values and re-inserted the SD card (printer turned off). I see this issue every time I turn on my printer now. Have tried to format the card and copy the SD-image content onto it again. Nothing seems to work. Best, Henrikby luposlip - Ormerod
Hi there! Just done with all the preparations. Currently performing the axis compensations. But - when I start the web client (default settings, 192.168.1.14 and default pwd, nothings changed in the config file), I'm presented with the logon window (I use Chrome 31.0.1650.63). I enter the pwd, click the submit button, and nothing happens. When I restart the Duet, refresh the browser, I brieflyby luposlip - Ormerod
