Hi Matt' How do you access the stl viewer in github please as I could not find it. Cheers Daveby davetech - Ormerod
Hi All, I seem to have to press the reset button quite often. This switch is very small and not very accessible and you really have to take the cover off. This disturbs the print reel and is a real problem. I notice on the circuit diagram of the duet that the reset line comes out on the top line of the expansion plug, pin 4 for the reset and pin2 for ground/0 volts. Is it ok to wire a normally opby davetech - Ormerod

Hi Matt Everything is ok now I'm enclosing a current picture of my omerod with a couple of mods. (1) by using a long M3 screw I've mounted the reel support at the top of the Z axis, repacing the original fixing screw with the long one from the kit. This was done because removing the duet cover to press the reset button was a chore. (2) The photo shows the mdf box that I mounted the omerod on, thby davetech - Ormerod
Hi Matt Thanks for the info for some reason the file was corrupt when I transferred it from my pc I've redone it now and I'll try it later. cheers Daveby davetech - Ormerod
Hi all, I seem to have a new problem my print failed due an error, gcode buffer length overflow, this happened both online and with pronterface, any thoughts? cheers daveby davetech - Ormerod
Hi Matt I printed out your two gears but I'm not sure if I've got my Slic3r settings correct as the hex hole for the nut has not worked out very well and the hole down the centre of the other gear doesn't have a flat on it, it has more of a slot. I took a while to use your *.scad file in openscad the attached file shows the error I found. Could you publish the settings used in Slic3r please thaby davetech - Ormerod
Hi Matt, When all my devices are connected and powered the duet still works via pronterface and the arduino ide so I think I have enough power. I also do not have a long enough network cable to reach between laptop and router. At the moment I also have J9 linked to get some help from the pc supply. I have not tried J10 yet as I need to make up a lead( lack of Harwin connectors). Something else yby davetech - Ormerod
I tried using a cable first and at one of the firmware settings it did work using the web and pronter face but now it doesn't and yes I did bridge the connections. I then used the wireless device with the laptop and it would not work either because the wireless device was powered by the powered USB hub this upset the com port I was using forcing the duet to go from 7 to 9, this upset the usb connby davetech - Ormerod
Thanks for the reply Matt I've had a few issues which I do not understand. I'm using 57h-dc42 and remote with reprap.min.60. The system will run with Pronterface but no web control, this is with XP on a laptop with both USB and web physically connected but the web page is not working, you can ping 192.168.1.14 no problem. But if I remove the laptop, replace the network cable with a wireless uniby davetech - Ormerod
Hi, I have ,I think, a fully working omerod but it seems to be very temperamental when using the new web controller. I can print ok with pronterface but when I try to log on, from chrome, the message I get is RECV: HTTP request:GET/HTTP,1. I am running debug visible but I get no response. The web page appears but I cannot connect! The arrow next to gcode send is functional as are the headers contrby davetech - Ormerod
Thanks rayhicks, I did have that item ticked but the problem was the latest web control did not send the file to the sd card properly, file length 0 bytes when I looked at the card. Also my laptop decided to overheat and stop working. No problem I've used a wireless/network device that replaces the network cable and I drive it all via my desktop computer. cheers davetechby davetech - Ormerod
I'm having problems with the gcode generated bySlic3r. I'm trying to print z-nut-trap.g but i'm using windows xp which does not want to use the supplied Sic3r program so I've used the 86 version from Slic3r. I've inserted the option.ini files. It puts the first layer ok but then it retracts the filament by about 50mm and will no longer print. It keeps feeding but it has already disconnected fromby davetech - Ormerod
