cheers guys, Yep the armour is painted with alclad paints... first a repetative process of undercoating and sanding till the armour surfaces were smooth, then applied a gloss black alclad base followed by the chrome. theres afew youtube tutorial vids on the process, heres one if your interestedby Sot - Look what I made!

Hey Guys, Ive been plagued by this problem for a while, at first i thought it was the gear part itself but then when i read this thread i found out i was on the wrong track anyway. I started mucking around trying to come up with something to fix this and i think i may have had a bit of success (unless the threaded rod has randomly aligned first go So what i did was take the original z drivenby Sot - Ormerod

Unfortunately not, the model is licensed to Daz3d, so i cant go distributing it... best link i can give is,by Sot - Look what I made!

Thanks Guys, im glad you like it , I found a few work in progress pics on my phone incase you guys were interested to see the before photos. The blury pic is the earliest and what it looked like straight from the printer, its 8 peices put together with blu tack. I still hadnt printed the right arm and cape yet... the rest are after priming and sanding the main body afew times and just blu tackeby Sot - Look what I made!

This is a model I originally made for daz3d and decided I'd try print it. Its the second model Ive printed so the quality isn't fanastic, I was still learning to get the printer going while printing these parts , so there was a lot of failed prints, I think it took about 6 weeks of effort to finish printing it. This took a while to remodel so it was printable, a long time sanding then I finallyby Sot - Look what I made!

Im in australia, there isnt much stock of anything here so my initial order took 6 weeks to get here, being out of stock and all i guess.. i was thinking by the time i send it back and get the next one back it would be a while Ive tried cleaning it out but no success yet, Ive got most of it out but its nicely blobbed into the bottom edge of the chip, its alot smaller than it looks in the photoby Sot - Ormerod

yeh exactly what i was thinking, ive just sent an email to support asking the same thing, if i can try removing it without voiding warranty, im guessing it cant do any more harm because that faded looking text on the chip isnt looking like a good sign. But if it works it may save me a month or two of waiting for the replacement thanksby Sot - Ormerod

Looks like i found my problem... seems to be a bit of solder or something that was underneath between the pins on the extruder motor controller causing a short circuit there ...by Sot - Ormerod

Yep im coming to the same conclusion as well, I've just did some more tests and none of the other motors seem to work on that port either... BUT! your suggestion to buy another SD card has fixed the network issue it now connects first go, thanks for that... but either way ill have to wait another month or so before I'll get this working thanks for the help though, greatly appreciated.by Sot - Ormerod

Hey guys, i finally finished building my printer, The major problem Im having at the moment is the extruder motor not responding to the extrude command. All the axis' seem to be working correctly, the xyz homing is working, the heated nozzle is ok and so is the bed, i can even run a test print job (with no plastic being fed through of course). I am definately sure its connected to the right piby Sot - Ormerod
