The fan should BLOW out of the 3 holes by the nozzle. The fan housing should have 2 arrows on it somewhere. One arrow shows the direction of the blades and the other shows the direction of the airflow. The airflow arrow should be pointing TO the heatsink. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
All I have to say as an end user is that I wish all involved the best for the future ! I have grown to love my Ormerod (Mk1, green) and found a whole new line of creativity (never really used CAD packages) that I thought I didn't possess (can't draw for toffee !) I really enjoy all the exploits of various users and hope that at some point I will be able to contribute to our ever growing userbasby Peterdl - Ormerod
The rough surface is usually the plastic strapping. It has a knurled effect on it. The steel strapping however is smooth. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Sounds like you have a slight twist in your Y rods. That is assuming you're referring to the right hand side as the side that the Y motor is (assume Ormerod 2 ?). Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
To be honest, you'd be better off with a LED power supply. 12V doesn'dip as much, something like You need the 30A one. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Looking at the bits that you have arrowed on the upright, that looks thicker than the rest of it. Overextrusion/cooling perhaps ? Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
David, On 1.02, the G1 X0 Y0 actually says G1 X0 X0. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi, You can reinstall the firmware by following the instructions here as MikeyD said. Peteby Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Bitfield, When I had the original acrylic X plate/rib (now have DaveK's aluminium one, excellent) I found that my X axis was similar to what you are describing. What I did was to loosen the X idler a touch and 'twist' it on the rod to get the X plate/rib as near as I could to vertical. However, be very careful to not twist it too much as the acrylic plate WILL break at the point where it goesby Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Mat, Quotemat_fr I tried. Before adding some oil (WD40) on the bearing and linear bearing the X carriage seemed smooth but heavier than the "Y plate", which seemed rather surprising to me. I honestly don't know if there were little drags, it's possible I have felt slight differences at some random spots, but too slight for me to be sure it was a real issue or if I was imagining it. In any caby Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Dave, I have Simplify3D on both my desktop & laptop. It can be put onto 2 computers without deregistering one of them (gleaned from the user forum) but as you say, if you want to use it on yet another, you have to deregister one of the others first. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Richard, No Doubt Dave will be along shortly but the firmware and web interface have moved on a bit now. The latest features & where to download etc. are here Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Dave, I'll try it again when I get home (although it's the latest firmware/web interface) and let you know but for me it's no biggie. As I said, files transferred afterwards with no problem even though I didn't reset anything (Duet or interface) so this may be a pointer ? Peteby Peterdl - Ormerod
Try it with another file. I had this problem with just 1 file with 57z & 0.72 (KimBrowns grill for big blue sliced in slicer 1.0.0 RC3). Tried it 4 times (rotating in Slic3r each time) but it still wanted to print as soon as I uploaded it. Every other file transferred across with no problems. I'm now using 58e & 0.74 but not tried it again. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Antonio, Yes, that's the one. It may overshoot for a short burst because of the way the heater is controlled but then settle down. Set this value to 195 and see how that goes (don't forget to save the settings). Bear in mind that any G-Codes you print that were done before now will still have the 205 set. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Antonio, In the picture for the custom G-Code above right, there are some values missing from the actual picture. There are settings below the M116 command. You need to scroll down to see them. Maybe it's set there ? Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi, Have a look at Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Les, How many files are on the SD card ? I don't know if the 42 file limit has been sorted yet. Peteby Peterdl - Ormerod
Hi Dave, You can put me down for one. Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
Arrived & installed. Still getting to grips with levelling it. Thanks for all the effort put into making this become reality ! Pete.by Peterdl - Ormerod
If It's not too late, I'd like one please. PayPal is ok for me. Peteby Peterdl - Ormerod
