Hi, I'm running the new version and whilst the manual buttons are not as bad as yours they are covered slightly, my screen res is set at 1440x900. see attached. Also the debug window i think is toggled on and off by the toggle log button at at the top. Lesby ashsoft2000 - RepRap Host
I bought the Ormerod because of the opensoure and that a full kit was available. The fact RS sold the kit was not a major plus for me. I thought about buying all the parts from here there and every where but decided a full kit was the way to go. I realised there would be problems has with all new things, 3d printing is still a new technology and by the end of this year there will be new 3d printby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
HI Dave, It’s an experiment, I don’t expect it to last but it’s taken up any play there was with in the thread and existing nut trap. I have cleaned off the gears of any metal dust so I can see if there’s any shavings start to develop. I had 4 hours printing OK yesterday and will see how long I get before failure. I agree with all the above. Level bed is a must so you don't need to use the x y auto bed levelling. Set z axis with the paper feeler method and calibrate with g92 z0.1 or similar allowing for the paper thickness. Use malt vinegar on the glass before printing PLA. Lesby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
I 'm trying an ABS printed nut at the moment and will let everyone know how I get on...by ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
Hi JMC I used the RS Designspark Mechanical to produce these parts, the source file can be found on my github. https://github.com/lesash/Ormerod/tree/master/Upgrades help yourself to the rsdoc files. Regards Lesby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
Zonzo, Turn the Z_upper_mount2.stl over 180 to print. I didn't use any support when I printed. Lesby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
Your welcome Zonzo, For anyone else that have not seen the Z axis top mount here's the link www.thingiverse.com/thing:305076. Lesby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
I guess time will tell. All I know is its now easier to tension the belt and circles now look more circular after the mod.by ashsoft2000 - Ormerod

Hi Dave, Yes you are right, I have included the bed top to show the position for the additional holes at the front right & left. The four parts to print are the :- Left_Belt_Grip.stl Cross_Rib.stl Rear_Rib.stl and if you are re-using the MDF Bed top Front_support.stl Regards Lesby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
Hi All, Sketchup needs the stl import / export addin. I have looked at autodesk meshmixer and it looks good to add support to your STL's before printing. It crashes a time or two with some of the commands but I have never printed straight from it. Lesby ashsoft2000 - Ormerod
Following with the ethos of the Reprap printers being able to reproduce I have designed printable parts for Ormerod. These parts help with the bed stability and can be used with the existing MDF bed plate or with Davek0974's aluminum triangular bed plate. Part STl's are available on Thingiverse.
