I am sort of a beginner, so I would really appreciate if someone could help me out. Would anyone be able to take a picture of their ormerod where the nozzle is at Z=0? I am having trouble getting it calibrated right. Thanks so much!by itwbaer - Ormerod
Just the one on the bed goes outby itwbaer - Ormerod
My heated bed keeps shutting off, so for the time being, I would like to simply disable it to test out some printing and calibrations. How does one go about disabling the heated bed without unplugging wires?by itwbaer - Ormerod
Yep the light goes off, thats how I first noticed itby itwbaer - Ormerod
It hits after the hotend heats up. And it hits at basically x=0 y=0 if that helpsby itwbaer - Reprappers
When I do homing, everything works fine and there are no crashes. When I then go to try and print, the y and x axis home, and then the z axis goes down and crashes the bed. What could I be doing wrong? Thanks for the help. And to put things in reference, I have an Ormerod 1by itwbaer - Reprappers
When I try to turn my hot bed on, the light comes on for about 5 seconds and then shuts off. Any ideas why this might be happening? Thanks in advanceby itwbaer - Ormerod
Quoteezwul I think you have not defined a tool, there are none defined by default and your old config.g will not have the new G-Codes, so you need to add the following in your config.g M563 P1 D0 H1 ; Define tool 1 to use extruder drive 0 and heater 1 (heater 0 is the hot bed) G10 P1 S0 R0 ; Set tool 1 operating and standby temperatures I was not gettby itwbaer - Ormerod
When I try to turn on my hot end in pronterface, it says "Setting hotend temperature to 100.000000 degrees Celsius. Setting temperature: no tool selected." Is this most likely due to unconnected wires (poor crimping)? Also, for my temperature readings, I get, for example "T:B: 22.5" But should it be something like "T: 22.5 B: 22.5"? Does this mean my thermistor wiring is not connected right asby itwbaer - Ormerod
Problem solved! It was just due to poor crimping, but I sodered and fixed the problem. Thanks for the advice!by itwbaer - Ormerod
I just finished building my printer and hooking up all of the wiring and now I am on to testing all of the equipment. My thermistors for both my hot end and heated bed are reporting wrong temperatures. They both always report -59C no matter if I am powering from USB or the power supply. Also, they are not changing at all when I turn the respective parts on; they are constantly at -59. I checked aby itwbaer - Ormerod
