That works and its so simple. Many thanks as I was anticipating the drag of having to revise how to do a repeat download from Github etc. Regards Daveby DaveGray65 - Ormerod
I've not used the Ormerod 2 for some time. When I started it up recently the "Upload G-Code Files" button and other buttons were missing from the G-Code Files page of the Web Interface as can be seen in the attachment. Having not used it for some time I tested it by printing the snowman, which printed OK. How can I recover the missing buttons? Regards Daveby DaveGray65 - Ormerod
Thanks Guys The odd thing is that I thought I saw a reply to this thread that suggested using Colorfabb's nGen, which is what I have tried and can now get such low leakage that I had to upgrade my leakage test rig. With quite a wide range of Slic3r settings the leakage is so low that it can't be distinguished from the residual leaks in the rig. Regards Daveby DaveGray65 - General
Hi All I'm attempting to print parts for a pump to produce a partial vacuum but am encountering porosity. I've reduced porosity a bit by adjusting the Slic3r settings but I need to reduce it further and I'm thinking of changing to a material that's less porous than the PLA that I'm currently using. Like most filament materials for 3D printers, PLA is hygroscopic (it absorbs moisture from theby DaveGray65 - General
Hi All Thank you for your replies. I'm now using the microwave on medium for 5 minutes. Having carried out lots more tests I'm now thinking that the good results achieved when I first tried the desiccant weren't due to drier filament. Embarrassingly, the good results were more likely to be due to a failure of my Z (height - I'm British) homing procedure because I can only reproduce those resuby DaveGray65 - General
I've been trying to improve print quality for ages and recently bought some orange/green indicating desiccant and left it with the filament a vacuum storage bag over the weekend. The prints on the following Monday were all I could wish for but on the following days the print quality has been going down hill. While the filament is on the printer I've been heating the desiccant in the oven at bby DaveGray65 - General
Apologies for the long delay in thanking you all for replies to the string that I started. It's taken me this long to work out how to find my own posts! Today I got here by using advanced search to search for my username. Regarding the G32 problem, my work-around is to enter the G32 results into a spreadsheet that tells me how far out I am and then briefly pressing down on the rear rod. the eby DaveGray65 - Ormerod
Thanks for this. How do I find those threads? I've tried searching for "twisted" and "parallel" but neither search found anything. By the way, what's the best way to find the posts that I have sent? I only registered for this forum yesterday and when I came on today it took me a while to find my post.by DaveGray65 - Ormerod
While doing initial axis compensation on an Ormerod 2 the G32 response on web interface looked a bit odd so I repeated the G32 test several times to see if it was repeatable. The height averages for each of the position are: Position 1: 0.197 Position 2: 0.080 Position 3: 0.121 Position 4: 0.749 I'm assuming that the units of height in the G32 response are mm.
