just my 0.02: a big YES, PLEASE for "home all & run setbed.g buttons" from my side. I actually like 0.1, 1 and 10 mm movesby auser - Ormerod
I' did this print with a "rather old Firmware" (I think 0.46 or so) now that ormerod uses relative extrusion and cura does not seem to handle this correctly I would not really recommend cura for ormerod a this point in time.by auser - Ormerod
i actually used cura to print some "cube-gears" (was one of my first prints) so it DOES work. BUT on last try It did no longer work for me, as It tried to move Z much to fast... I'm now back to using slic3r.by auser - Ormerod
I will have to check. I got one of the duets with the 2 resisotrs "the wrong way round". Now I just assumed that all teething problems would be fixed in the replacement.by auser - Ormerod
>...Faster upload (with dc42), also modifying of config files and and auto bed compensation wizard =) Yes please! if I get "decent" upload speed I'l finally no longer need to neither "digg" out the sd-card (it's a pain for may fat fingers), nor use USB for upload which seems suspectible to mooving of the usb cable here (I'm a bit afraid that the usb connector works loose, even if I'm only plby auser - Ormerod
I found that slic3r exports a lot faster if i uncheck "Avoid crossing perimeters" this bug may be the cause edited: link description addedby auser - Ormerod
Hi Matt I'm lovin it! Thanks for your effort! > SD File uploading,.... and painfully slow Can you give an indication on "how slow"? e.g. 100k bytes of G-code will take "N" minutes? Does SD File uploading now also work from pronterface? If yes what's the speed to be expected there? best regardsby auser - Ormerod
I don't know but what does work: start print form web-interface, and dissconnect later. I have done it multiple times.by auser - Ormerod
i did not print a lot yet. only a few stars / snowflakes plus the obligatory ormaxis.g and snowman.g i would really appreciate it if people could give me some hints tips how to improve print qulity (furhter). i'm especially wondering about the shift in "y-direction" obvious in the x-arm of ormaxis... thanks a lot in advance for your tips & hints!by auser - Ormerod
may be an improvement, but may also be more of a question: Orthogonal Axis Compensation QuoteFinally, measure the distance between the tip of the projection near the angled corner and the center of the end of the screw. This should be 78mm i measure closer to 75 and I think this distance should be defined by pully / belt so should not really have that big a difference. maybe I did not measure cby auser - Ormerod
Quotedc42 What I really want to do is print over Ethernet, or copy files to the SD card over Ethernet. I hope the firmware will be updated to provide this facility soon (if it isn't, I may add it myself). (emphasis added) Yes PLEASE! This would be THE feature i'm waiting for. fiddling with the sd-card is no fun, i once even manged to drop it into the electronics enclousure....by auser - Ormerod
YES! Massive thanks to Ian. The value of your support Ian can not be underestimated! To me your input on forums and by email makes a huge difference. Thanks!by auser - Ormerod
at first i could also not connect by ethernet to my OR170. i did allow cookies (there was a yellowish icon in the upper righthand corner of chrome). after that I unpluggged / re-plugged 5V shortly after i could connect for the frist time using ethernet. even now i sometimes get into a state where i can ping the duet-board but not (correctly) load the web-interface. i have a feeling this happens iby auser - Ormerod
