I'm sorry, but there is no communication between your PC and the Duet in it. Can you make another one while trying to load the web interface?by chrishamm - Ormerod
On Windows I guess? Maybe a Windows update has messed up your TCP/IP stack, so try resetting it once: If that doesn't help, could you make a Wireshark dump so I get an idea what's going on?by chrishamm - Ormerod
Which firmware and web interface versions are you trying to use?by chrishamm - Ormerod
That's quite a lot, in fact that's almost as much as on my web interface TODO list! The M408 responses provide the current fan value, but at the moment only one single fan is supported and I'm seriously wondering if there is any good reason to add support for another one at this time. I for one haven't heard of anyone who uses a second controllable fan with the Duet 0.8.5 yet, but feel free to tby chrishamm - Ormerod
That version is working nicely and it even fixes the print progress bar - thanks once more for this update! I have one more (minor) request though: When I start a file print on the web interface, would it be possible to automatically switch to the Print page? That's definitely no must-have, but it would be bit more convenient.by chrishamm - Ormerod
Thanks for sharing! Would you mind if I integrate this as an optional feature into my next version of DWC?by chrishamm - Ormerod
Nice, but actually I made something similar a while agoby chrishamm - Ormerod
Yes, you're right - nevermind my last report, it's working well again with a reliable +5V supply (turning on the printer first helps) I'll do some more tests and report back.by chrishamm - Ormerod
Thanks David, I've just flashed the 4.3'' version on my PanelDue - nice to see more icons! But could you check if the touch events work on the Control and Print pages of your 7'' display? It seems my PanelDue picks up touch events only randomly on the Console and Setup pages, in fact now I cannot even type a simple command using the display. No idea why, but this was definitely working with b2.by chrishamm - Ormerod
Hi brumster, You should really upgrade your firmware, 0.78 is quite old nowadays. You can either use RRP's official 1.09 firmware or (what I'd recommend because of dc42's excellent new movement code and other improvements) my latest firmware here. Just be aware that you need to adjust a few things once you've flashed it: 1) Add the M574 codes and replace the lines containing M201, M203 and M566by chrishamm - Ormerod
David J, either post your question here or send me a PM. Meanwhile I watch this forum (and the developers forum) quite frequently too.by chrishamm - Controllers
Thanks to the new icons I find 1.12 b2 nicer than 1.12 b1, really good job! I have a couple of more ideas, though: - switch over to the new-style M408 responses - I know it's not trivial to make the necessary adjustments, but these responses already provide everything necessary AFAICS, including the G31 trigger values and chamber heater information (if enabled) - add an extra "Offline" status toby chrishamm - Controllers
I can confirm that the first display supplied from Germany works well with your PanelDue. And thanks again for your support, this thing is a really nice gadget that is now supported by my firmware fork as wellby chrishamm - Ormerod
I've just released version 1.09m of my firmware fork on GitHub, which adds full support for dc42's PanelDue. I must admit this thing is pretty neatby chrishamm - Ormerod
Maybe your SD card is faulty. I suggest you format it once, copy the SD image back to it and then try to print something else. If that doesn't help, try another microSD card.by chrishamm - Fisher
Really cool! I've got to try thisby chrishamm - Developers
Well, we had this argumentation some time ago and although I understand it to some extend, nobody has ever complained about it since v1.09 was officially released. I could offer a compromise though: What if we add an 'H' parameter to M0 to specify whether the heaters should remain on? I could easily integrate this into the next version of my web interface and perhaps even make that option configuby chrishamm - Ormerod
Hmm, I haven't had a blocked nozzle because I left the nozzle on for a couple of minutes yet, although I guess this varies from filament to filament. But for completeness I should add that it's still possible with my fork to put all heaters into standby mode when a print is cancelled by adding the following lines to /sys/stop.g: T-1 M144 Of course one could put the relevant codes to turn off aby chrishamm - Ormerod
Interesting, now I get the point. I guess I haven't faced this issue yet, because in my fork M0 leaves the heaters active unless it's part of a G-Code file.by chrishamm - Ormerod
I'm sorry, but I don't quite get what you mean - once you have paused a print, you can click on "Cancel" on the web interface (or send M0) to stop the print entirely. I wanted to have exactly the same feature in my firmware a while back, so I decided to modify M0 for exactly this purpose (and yes, that's what the "Cancel" button sends as well). What's the disadvantage of pausing a print before sby chrishamm - Ormerod
Hi Don, You're right - sorry for the confusion. The binary on my GitHub repo does have the changes from my latest 1.09l release, but its version wasn't properly updated. I've just pushed an updated binary to GitHub though, which also fixes a JSON problem that would cause the web interface to disconnect if a config.g file bigger than 3.2KB was used.by chrishamm - Ormerod
Quotecoogrrr So Chris.... If I completely remove the 1.6.5 can I install 1.6.1 and use your tree? I am not particularly attached to any version - 1.x anything works fine for my Marlin so I can back down to a version of Arduino you recommend and tested to work with your boards addition. Yes the Powershell script is wonderful - in fact so nice that If I could get the PS IDE to deal with Arduino prby chrishamm - Ormerod
AFAIK the P parameter of M116 specifies the tool number, so you'd in fact have to put M116 P0 in tpost0.g and M116 P1 in tpost1.g. At least this is what I've been using on my dual-nozzle Ormerod 2.by chrishamm - Ormerod
I don't think an Adblocker would have any effect on the web interface, although blocking JavaScript definitely would. If you're using RepRapPro's web interface, you need Flash to get the IRC integration working. If you're using my unbranded version, you don't need anything except for an HTML5-compatible web browser (so stay away from IE if possible ). The sliders are based on a JQuery plugin, butby chrishamm - Ormerod
Ah nice, so someone actually starts using my PowerShell effort :-) FYI, you can reset the Duet into bootloader mode by opening the COM port at 1200BPS once, and this is in fact what I've been doing in my UNIX Makefile. If you like, I can add the same functionality to my PowerShell script, too. 1) I'm sorry you had difficulties installing the Arduino board, but it's actually the Arduino IDE thatby chrishamm - Ormerod
I've been using simple 3-in-1 oil for the linear bearings because this has been working quite nicely on my Ormerod as well - I figure silicone spray would work too, but don't use WD40. I don't know if you actually need to lubricate the metal-on-plastic joints, but if you do, I'd probably try some grease on those spots.by chrishamm - Fisher
Why are you talking about Java anyway? JavaScript is a part of your internet browser and it's absolutely not related to Oracle Java, so installing Java to get JavaScript working is complete nonsense. If you want to troubleshoot this problem any further, I suggest you enable "Log any successful G-Code" on the Settings tab first and then check if the web interface sends out the right M220/M221 codby chrishamm - Ormerod
Those pins are available on the expansion header, just have a look at this document:by chrishamm - Ormerod
Just a guess, but RepRapFirmware automatically reduces the motor currents after 30s of inactivity. With Duet-dc42 you can basically disable this feature by adding "M906 I1.0" to your config file. My fork of the firmware supports an additional "S" parameter for M84, which allows you to specify the idle timeout in seconds. M84 S0 would disable it entirely.by chrishamm - Controllers
Maybe it's just a bug in the firmware? 1.09a-dc42 isn't the newest firmware, so I suggest you upgrade to 1.09k-dc42 instead. Alternatively, you could try out my firmware fork here.by chrishamm - Ormerod
