does someone know if it is possible to remove the aluminium plate below the glass plate?? if so you could put it on the mdf screw it tight and the whole thing would be even more stiffby redblunt - Ormerod
hey folks, i just overworked ashlees bedsupport. i reduced weight added ribs for stability and future mods. you will find mk2 here: Bedsupport mk2 so far i have done the first prints with the new bed, works well - dont need no setbed anymore sadly i could not use iamburnys belt strapper - might overwork that later. redby redblunt - Ormerod
hey community, today i had had a real misarable print with the problem that the filament on the second layer starts lifting up the entire print. first layer 205°C other layers 195°C Bed 65°C / 60°C PLA. First print (left in picture)was kinda ok - little problem with the bed leveling. but the second one (right in picture)was really messy. Whats seems to be the Problem? May it be the bed levelingby redblunt - Ormerod
well 2 methods here: 1. take a lighter and heat your plastic, then quickly but firmly push it against a window / very slick surface - you can mess up pretty easy but get nice results if your are patient 2. take sanding paper wich is used by carpainters 1200 something around - takes long toughby redblunt - Ormerod
hey, go for it with the super glue depending on where you live it can take some time to get replacementparts. and you will have enough to do learning how to calibrate the axis. redby redblunt - Ormerod
actually i want to go way 1. editing the z homing file; have to learn more about the scripting. is there something like if? but i use method 2. at first: test one deleted g21 still crashing test two deleted g21 and g28 HE** YEAH printer is printing no bed crash *happy* now its nap time :-) (smoke detector next to the ormerod) thanks to dc42 - tomorrow ill continue with method 1 getting the zby redblunt - Ormerod
other post moved in here: Quoteredblunt now that i am ready to start my first print i zero z and run my setbed (who long does it take to finish? ran from the webserver it gets stuck did it manually then) so im set up to run ormaxis.g first the x axis move i think then the z axis sets down and crashes in the bed Quotedc42 If the z axis is crashing into the bed, it probably means that you don't hby redblunt - Ormerod
ill open up a new topic for the crashing case because the head line doesnt fit anymore moved to: http://forums.reprap.org/posting.php?340 so please admin closeby redblunt - Ormerod
also tried printing from pronterface z crashes too. i set G92 Z0 when the extruder was 5mm above the bed also crashed - so it must be config or the sensor (says my mind) when i start the print the z probe goes down fast (1 steps i guess) when its nearly touching the bed it goes down slow (0.1 steps) at this point its starts pusching down the bed and suddenly z speeds up again to hit the bedby redblunt - Ormerod

aaaaaah yes found it thermistor was out totaly *shame* thanks againby redblunt - Ormerod
back to question 5: with the M111 S0 command i kill all feeds of the duet also how can i still get the heating infos?by redblunt - Ormerod
thank you very much dc, i appreciate your effort and offer - dont know wether to answere yes or no. right now at least im fine, i need to learn more about the machine itself before you code to much comfort in it :-) sincerely redby redblunt - Ormerod
thanks again to you Erik, the answeres were very iluminating after i took a closer look at the home files :-) also thanks to you dc!by redblunt - Ormerod
hey people, after standard issues and updating firmware i came to start my first print: ormaxis.g. but the heating time of the extruder takes about 20 to 30min to heat up to 176°C and it does not seem to rise above it falls down und rises up a little before i updated the firmware i had the same problem. BUT the very first test two days ago after the assembly it took like 10 to 15min to heat up tby redblunt - Ormerod
i forgot question number five and six: 5. how to stop the http feeds pronterface gets? or can i only do that with arduino? 6. is there a way to dead stop the printing cause with the standard webinterface i can only pause it or do i have to reset with pronterface/arduinoby redblunt - Ormerod
thanks again Erik for your reinterpretation of the documentation i just did it. so following up and continuing with my questions: 1. in the setbed.g is my code line A this: G30 P0 X60 Y0 Z0.0 G30 P1 X60 Y170 Z-0.9 G30 P2 X220 Y170 Z-1.0 G30 P3 X220 Y0 Z0.0 or B this: M561; no compensation already M556 S100 X0 Y0 Z0; zeroes all orthogonal compensation G30 P0 X60 Y0 Z0.0 G30 P1by redblunt - Ormerod
thank you Erik and Dario read both your first to posts and executed them. dc s y firmware is up and running! starting the calibration now. reporting back when finished redby redblunt - Ormerod
