QuoteQdeathstar Quotedougal1957 QuoteQdeathstar ah. I'm curious about it, where is it on the pcb? Could you take a pic Picture of what exactly? if you mean the strain gauges then they are actually designed into the PCB Traces so not much to be seen on a photo (They can be seen as very fine traces in the copper by eye but they don't show up well on photos) Oh, ok. I didn't know they were printby dougal1957 - Delta Machines

Quotedc42 A strain gauge isn't usually an IC, it's typically a metal foil mounted on a substrate. We have 3 ICs on the effector to manage it: a voltage regulator to provide a clean power source, an amplifier to increase the signal, and a microcontroller to process the data. Can also say having had one on my delta for some time that it works extremely well and routinely calibrates to less than 7by dougal1957 - Delta Machines
You may like to consider an AC Silicon heater rather than a DC One you would need a relatively Cheap DC-AC SSR but you would have the flexibility to increase the power of the heater if you wish.by dougal1957 - Ormerod
Think you are asking in totally the wrong Sub Forum this is for the Duet Controllers and i doubt that anyone in here would know anything about the ultratronics boardsby dougal1957 - Duet
Ah LokBuild yes it is made not to far from me and in fact I did contact them for larger pieces some time ago and they were looking into it but never did come back to me so maybe worth me dropping them another line. I would need 16x16 inch piece for this new machine. (360mm diam bed). Ah on further checking see that AndOrNot do a 17inch square one now maybe worth a try Currently getting deviatby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Simon I have the data sheet for the Keenovo Thermistor if you need it the B Value is 3950 25/50 I did work it out for a 25/100 which was IIRC 4008. My new build has a 320mm diam one on it with a 10mm hole in the Centre Which allows me to fir the Temp sensor directly in the Bed material in the centre of the bed (The Keenovo ones tend to be the other side of the pad and the shenzen ones right atby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Not in the DUET section they wont try posting in the right area?by dougal1957 - Controllers
they are also available from Screwfix in the UK seeby dougal1957 - Ormerod
motedis Extrusion supplies is the place German based near Frankfurt I believe but they ship throughout EU and will cut to size for you for free or at least it used to be free Doug Edit they are in Ensdorf near Saarlouisby dougal1957 - Reprappers
You need to use Samba to update it the CPU on the Wifi is not supported under Bossac go check out the Duet forum instead you can find the link in the first sticky post in this forum above this post HTH Dougby dougal1957 - Duet
he is also doing 4 times the microstepping than is normal so that won't help either CPU is probably bogging down under the strainby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
think so mate can't wait to get mine lolby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Yes they are the right things by the look of them but also have a look on Rapidelectronice for them they may be much cheaper there Rapid Electronics Molex KK connectors You may need a selection of 2 3 and 4 way shells and a few crimps plus a HT225 Crimp tool HTH dougby dougal1957 - Duet
Start at the bottom and check the distances between each pair of adjacent towers and set them to all be the same(may be worth cutting a piece of wood or such to act as a gauge). Repeat for the upper triangle and then make sure all the towers are vertical Don't worry about the bed for this you can adjust it later and it doesn't have to be dead centre it will just mean a slight reduction in printby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Nor am i the first printer I got was a prusa clone and took me ages to figure out why it was way of dimensionally yep 17 tooth pulleysby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Why print them when they can be had online for not much moneyby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
To alter the Config files when calibrating how else could you do it ?by dougal1957 - Delta Machines
ah you didnt mention that I hate win 10 with a passion but that shouldn't stop you from being able to calibrate a delta but it is a large learning curve compared with a std cartesian design such as a prusa there are a lot more varibles to take into accountby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
There are far to many variables with a delta that you can't expect any kit to just work out of the box like you possibly could with a prusa style. If your build is 100% like the original then yes but to be honest that is practically impossible to achieve. You would need all the variables on your printer to be exactly (And I do Mean Exactly) the same even down to the operating temperature of youby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
Also I doubt you would ever get any Delta that will work straight out of the box. You would definately need a computer to set it up calibrate and then sort the config files to match. Especially within that price range.by dougal1957 - Delta Machines
With Haydn's Delrin ends you don't need to bend anything as they will go past the 90 Degree point easily saves a lot of machining I suspect the Robotdigg corners if there anything like the 2040 ones will take 20x40 at one end and 20x60 at the other (I am putting my 20x60 ones with the motors etc at the top of the frame where there will be mor room and will be more accessible rather than under tby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
3 years on umm lots of changes in that timeframe????by dougal1957 - Delta Machines
You need to edit the Title so that people know what hardware this runs on!!by dougal1957 - Delta Machines
you sure that all 3 Toothed pulleys have the same number of teeth and check that they are all tight on the motor shafts. It may also help if you post your Config.g file? Dougby dougal1957 - Duet
Quotedc42 Quotedougal1957 David Just had a look at your BOM are you sure the the Pulleys are 3mm bore? think it should be 5 Doug. 3mm bore for the idler pulleys is correct for the way I have mounted them (on M3 screws). Ah OK i must have misunderstood and thought you meant the 16 tooth Pulleys for the motors Now I look again it is the 16 teeth that threw meby dougal1957 - Delta Machines
