On shape is a diffrent Cad software. Have you missinderstood the question or do you mean that I should export from OnShape to DesignSpark?by fotomas - 3D Design tools
I use DesignSpark-Mechanical as my mad CAD tool. When I grab a STL file from internet and want to make modifications to it I run into trouble. I split the STL into smaller parts/surfaces but dispite this I can not edit and modifiy the part. Addind new geometrics works fine but resizing, deleting, cut and subtracting is not possible. Maybe this is not possible starting out with a STL file. Couby fotomas - 3D Design tools
What is the C-C measurement of the nozzles in the quick-set nozzle cooling block?by fotomas - Ormerod
AFAIK as designed. The firmware does not allow the printer to go below Z 0. I can understand the reasoning behind this. But on the ormerod, where the printhead is "hanging" on the X-rib, a negative Z could be allowed without any severe issues. My height adjustment goes like this. I would guess moisture in the filament. Do you hear small popping sounds while it is printing?by fotomas - Ormerod
Some bat file tricks. You can ask the user for input and use en argument for the firmware file. So by putting this into a bat file and then drop the bin file on the bat file. The user will be prompted for the com port number and the dropped bin file will be flashed. So no editing will be required. @echo off echo "You are about to flash firmware file: %1" set /p comport="Enter you Panel Due COMby fotomas - Ormerod
I have no problem with that. I will contact you with a PM to discuss some details and ideas.by fotomas - Ormerod
A small fix, the font for the values in the "File Information" panel. Added version number to zip archive.by fotomas - Ormerod
Independently almost identical solutions to the same problem, that has mean that its a good design Yours seem to have a better grip on the bearing but on the other hand it needs support material. Thank you for sharing!by fotomas - Ormerod
Made a small part to clamp the bearing under the bed. It was an attempt to reduce the griding/ratteling sound when the Y-axis moves fast. I think it helped a little bit. It can surely be debated if it is needed or any good but anyway; here it is.by fotomas - Ormerod
QuoteTreito Maybe this shows the problem: The color scheme blends very nicely into your Firefox theme. It looks like I have taken the colors from it, which is not the case. Attach you will find an updated version. - Less intense green (that plays nicely with the red) - Grey header above file list - White text in header above file listby fotomas - Ormerod
Nice to hear, I will have a look at the green colors.by fotomas - Ormerod
Glad to heqr you like it. You can easily fall back to Arial by renaming the font file or deleting it. The code got lost since it is HTML, here it is with the starting and trailing angles omitted. < > QuoteCSS link link href="css/slate.css" rel="stylesheet"by fotomas - Ormerod
Made another restyling of the web interface. This one covers even more (if not all) of the GUI. Grey/Black, sharp corners and flat graphics, no gradients. css, font and htm files attached. The reprap.htm file needs one line extra line of code. Either you use the file attached or add the folowing line below the similar lines in the CSS section. I hope you like it.by fotomas - Ormerod
There are a few places not yet restyled and some are harder than other since I do not want to modify the html and Javascript. That's why I have not yet published the files. I have changed one font to make more readable. I can post what I have so far, as "work in progress". How to use: Put font files in font directory. Put CSS in CSS directory. Add reference to CSS file in default.html. Note: Tby fotomas - Ormerod
How come the Web control doesn't show the printer name set in config.g ?by fotomas - Ormerod
I have spent some time restyling the Duet Web control by 'zombiepantslol' . May aim was to make it a bit more lite flying a spaceship than using a pale business application. It is quite simple the additional files; 1 css and 2 font files. Then a link to the css has to be added in the file default.htm. No functionality or layout is changed, just fonts, color and design of elements. This is whatby fotomas - Ormerod
missread the suggestion. Nothins unplugged when cleaning the nozzle. Good idea but my wires are tied down in such a way that they would not reach the termistor if swapped.by fotomas - Ormerod
I got the nozzle blocked and had to remove the heater and bowden tube for cleaning. I have a dual nozzle setup and dc-42's dual sensor board. After reassembling the printer head and turning on the printer the fan runs constantly. The z-Probe reports values around 950 all the time despite far away from the bed. Putting a white paper in front of it do change the value. Everything else seems toby fotomas - Ormerod

How do you achieve temerature changes at specific layers? Slicer software or manual editing? Slic3r has the option for having a different for first layer but that's it.by fotomas - Ormerod
I am using Chrome, win 8.1. Sorry but I totally missed that the homing buttons changes places when the windows gets narrower. So do not mind my comment about the home all button. But the comment is still valid for the "Auto Bed Compensation" button. There seems to be a lot of space to left for it. See screenshots:by fotomas - Ormerod
The web control. In my opinion the two buttons "home all" and "bed calibration" goes away too early when reducing the browser size. In fact there seems to be enough room to display them all the time no matter the browser size. The use case for me is chrome docked to half a 1920×1280 display. In this scenario the buttons are hidden. So I am using macros instead. Over all its a Great GUI! /Tomaby fotomas - Ormerod
IMHO At 45 degrees half the layer is without support, when printing straight ahead. When it comes to corners it is even more that rests on thin air. That's why the corners looks so bad. So the solution is wider nozzle, lower layer height or support. Lower layer height is nor an reasonable option. Another way is to overextrude to print wider and use higher layer height. But I am not compleatlyby fotomas - Ormerod
Measured the old heater and the new: Old 3.7 Ω New 4.7 Ω The old heater, delivered with the Original Ormerod 2 kit and the newer heater included in the dual nozzle (quick set) upgrade kit. Regarding thermal characteristics; to me it looks like there is thinner and less metal between the heater block and the cooling block. If there is a difference the quick set nozzle should cool slower than thby fotomas - Ormerod
I tested with S1.1 but with no apparent effect. So before going with higher values I measured the voltage at the probe. By inserting some bread board wires in the Z-Probes molex connectors I was able to measure the actual voltage going to the heater, under load. The voltage was not terribly low but 11.46, so I adjusted the PSU under load to give 12.00 at the heater. This had some effect so I stby fotomas - Ormerod

I have just started to print after upgrading to dual nozzle with the reprappro kit. Running firmware 1.04b-dc42 and zpl web gui 1.04. My first print was a test piece i use for fine tune the nozzle height. The g-code file is the same as before the conversion of the printer.
