schau hier , hab mir das video von dem angeguckt. der findet das teil gut und ist wohl durch die in C form gehaltenen verstrebungen auch relativ stabil. Und halt riesig. Unterhaltsames video.by makerbro88 - Allgemeines
Hello fellow Reprappers, Browsing my favourite shopping sites (and new ones oviously) i have stumbled upon this little board: ali_makerbase I don´t know much about 32 bit electronics and have only used arduino+ramps. But on the first look this board looks like a stripped down version for 12v wich results in the price( which i kinda like), but my question here is if this could run a heatbed viaby makerbro88 - Controllers

Haha , seems like a lot of trouble you went through. As for the motor, in the beginning i found it really hard to find the specifications for a good motor Now i got one from Pollin which is kinda like a wiper motor, but at least i got some information on the values the motor has. Like maximum Torque of 18Nm and ...the downside, power consumption of max. 27 A at 12V. But it's at least a cheap moby makerbro88 - Plastic Extruder Working Group
QuoteLooking back the grinding might have been a beter (easier) plan what do you mean by that? Would it be a bad idea to have an 16 mm auger inside a 3/4" pipe because it leaves some room between the auger and the wall? Thought about this aswell. Then i will have to change the 1/2" stuff at my local hardware storeby makerbro88 - Plastic Extruder Working Group
As i have read through , the normal 1,75mm filament i would use for FDM Printers can be created with an "acceptable" tolerance. If i can achieve similar results , like some people have with the filastruder, that would be more than enough for me. tolerances within +- 0,1mm seem okay to me. Sure, other people have other standards. I am not a metalworker, neither do i have a lot of metal working maby makerbro88 - Plastic Extruder Working Group

Hello Fellow Rep Rappers and DIY people. First of all, i come from Germany, have built my first diy 3d printer successfully and now i want to tackle the task of making my own filament. Coming by Plastic Pellets, is no problem in my region, because there is even a big plastic trader in my local (small) city. But, because i have no real experience in metal working stuff, and didnt had someone to tby makerbro88 - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I dont know if this helps... but if you are comfortable with ordering from china, why not try a custom silicon pad for 12v or so. Good, i only found a 300x300mm with 24 volt rating.aliexpress link. But i think there are plenty of options to get a 12v version. I for myself havent tried yet, but maybe this is an option for you.by makerbro88 - General
Oh , thanks for the tipps. Never thought about , how flush the throat end surfaces might be. I will check that and sand them down As price was a major point when i started to build my printer (thight budget as a college student) i always went the route of taking compromises ( is that the right word in endlish?) and do some tweaks and improvements by myself. I think i even spent more time tinkerby makerbro88 - General
Hey fellow reprapers, I have a question , for which i did not find useful information. I learned a lot of stuff by investigating this forum and various other websites. And i have build my own prusa i3. Mostly really cheap chinese stuff Maybe a set from china might have been better, ... but too late >) And here is my question now: How does the size of a heatblock affect the print quality / hby makerbro88 - General
Hi. I am very interested in your v slot design. But one question. why did you choose 20x40 v slot ? Do you think this would have worked with 20x20 ? or is it just better for the wheels to have 20x40 ?by makerbro88 - Smart_Rap
Hello Guys, I found this thread quite informative and liked the different attitudes of how to get things done. Like, buying stuff VS. making stuff yourself. But even the Idea of making a 1m printer. wow. quite a challenge. what do you plan on printing? furniture? I would like to see some pictures of your current progress rowow.by makerbro88 - Mechanics
Hi there. I recently built the same Prusa i3 derivate. -First tipp might be that you should try to get the x axis belt kind of thigt. I have ordered the Rework 1.0 parts and the x axis lacks an adjustable belt tensioning mechanism. - M5 nuts and M5 rods are not a really good solution for the Z axis. I had problems to get the nut to stay in the mold. and everytime i tried out my printer the nut caby makerbro88 - General

Hallöchen liebe freunde. Ich wollte hier auch mal mein aktuelles projekt vorstellen und sozusagen ein nachträgliches Buildlog hier rein posten. Ok here's the deal: I recently made a Prusa i3 by sourcing everything by myself. Due to trial and error i had to but this frame: and i have the 3d printed parts from a i3 Rework 1.0 . Combined with a E3D v6 clone and a 0.4 mm nozzle. Ok first of all, i had to tinker a lot to be able to get at least ugly 3D prints. A lot of zip ties and improvising I somehow got the knack on leveling the bed aby makerbro88 - Prusa i3 and variants
Hey Guys, a little update from me. I have gotten the cnc milled - one sheet- for the Prusa i3 in the mail today. Had hoped it would arrive saturday, to have a fun project for the weekend. But the mail man was not fast enought Even though, its made nicely and from plywood. Don`t know yet if i paint or oil the wood , to protect it from moisture etc. Some of you got experience with 3d printersby makerbro88 - General
Thanks for your tipps J-Max and the_digital_dentist. This was kind of a short summary. Maybe i write it up nicer, when i have time. As far your concerns go, i have read a lot. Really , really a lot .... but still , there is so much to learn. And i am slowly getting addicted. Not only to 3D Printers. But to Making stuff in general. My Story kind of begins like the story of everyone else. I am a Software Engineer. I work with computers. I have tried some hobbies to have fun. I have technical skills. But 3D Printing was a big mystery to me. It was early 2015 when i discovered RepRap. I decided early on, to not just buy a diy kit or a finished Product but rather source the materials myself. One reason, was i only found expensby makerbro88 - General
