I have a FolgerTech 2020 Prusa i3 that I could develop a mount for if you are interested. I live in the US so that might be a problem, but I do product design for a living so making a mount would be straight forward. Let me know!by mindstormmaster1 - General
I recently ordered an E3D V6 as well as the Volcano upgrade. Then I got to thinking since I have a .4 nozzle that I am running now and the Volcano has a .4 nozzle. Why dont I just always run the Volcano hotend and then simply swap out the nozzle size since I never need anything below a .4 nozzle? Has anyone else pondered this and can you give me the pros and cons? Also can the Volcano run fleby mindstormmaster1 - General
I just wanted to check in and see how things were going with the update? I am also working on creating my own remix, but I dont want to start printing it until I make sure I dont miss any great changes that you are working on. Thanks!by mindstormmaster1 - Smart_Rap
Would you be willing to post your designed to Onshape so that I can mess with them? If you want to make some changes first I understand, but I would love to collaborate with you in you are interested!by mindstormmaster1 - Smart_Rap
That new version looks great! I am excited to hear that you are willing to keep working on the design! Please keep me in the loop as I hope to order all the parts I need soon. Why does everyone hate on the z axis as it was originally designed? The ultimaker uses is very successfully. I understand that 8mm rods are not strong enough, but wouldn't 2-12mm rods be cheaper than 4-8mm rods?by mindstormmaster1 - Smart_Rap
This seems like it would be the perfect blend of 8mm rods, corexy, and cheap frame that I was looking for. Sadly I dont quite see what the issue is to be able to fix the design my self. Is anyone able to modify the design to correct for the errors? This printer seems similar would it suffer from the same issues or does it address the belt issues that you mentioned?by mindstormmaster1 - Smart_Rap
I believe that 1.75 is much more popular and that 3 is slowly being phased out. Also if my options were $20 for a clone, $30 for an improved clone that is guaranteed to work just as well as a genuine or $60 for a genuine I know which one I would pick without hesitation! I think its an awesome idea and I hope you post links to your store soon!by mindstormmaster1 - General
I see versions of the Core (MDF version) on Thingiverse, JSCAD, GIT and tons of remixes and tweaks. Is there any place to go that I can find the latest and greatest files all in one place that us 8mm rods and includes a bill of material. Thanks!by mindstormmaster1 - Smart_Rap
I printed a 20*20 cube and three of the vertical edges are good, but if you are looking at the printer the back right-hand edge is very rounded, has zits, some stringing, and looks very fuzzy. I noticed that while it was printing this edge was where the printer would move up the nozzle to start the next layer. Could this be the issue? The only thing I can think would be to install the antibackby mindstormmaster1 - Prusa i3 and variants
I need to calibrate my printer, but before I do I wanted to I wanted to upgrade my firmware from the stock firmware. I keep seeing talks about a new version (Merging RC2 and RC3) so I am wondering should I wait? Also since my printer is running well what is the best process for upgrading without messing up all my settings?by mindstormmaster1 - Prusa i3 and variants
I got my printer up and running and right away with the only change necessary being moving the end stop to the left side. My first cube with PLA printed out well so I went right to the 3dBenchy with ABS(because why not). Both look good, but have very wavy sides. The closest I can describe them is almost like the side of a woven basket. Any ideas how to fix this? Is my temperature to hot or toby mindstormmaster1 - Prusa i3 and variants
