Hi, ich suche grade einen geeigneten dehydrator und habe dieses model gefunden leider ohne eigenen timer. Hat schonmal jemand so ein gerät zum trocken von filament gekauft und kann seine erfahrungen berichten? Cheersby sungod3k - Allgemeines
If you have a home build printer, build a custom profile in your slicer. You already listed the most of the relevant values. Only when you build your printer to the exact specs of a "brand" printer you should use an existing profile.by sungod3k - General
Hi, im very interested in the polysmooth/polysher system. From the mentions of the usual 3d printing youtube channels it seems to work well. However the pricetag for the polysher unit seems a bit high for my taste. That got me thinking on how to replicate the function: *The box can be recreated with a plastic box and one of the 3$ jewelry lazy susans from ali. *The vaporization could be doneby sungod3k - General
Youre right I probably wont get around a paste extruder and that has been on my list already for other stuff. It just sounded so simple in the beginning "just strap a pen to the print head", but it never is For stencils a low wattage diode laser would probably be simpler but ill look into that later^^. Multicolors would be very cool indeed, maybe Ill find/design the paste extrude in a way thaby sungod3k - General
I see^^, could that also print rtv silicones? or what are your seals made out of?by sungod3k - General
Interesting technology. Reminds me a bit of the objet printer. Do you get usable parts out of it with that UV curing method?by sungod3k - General
I want to use the ink in the pen and yes a paste extruder that feeds ink into the pen would be the ideal solution but I want to exhaust the simple solutions first. The pen would draw directly on the shirt, so cutting stencils and then manual painting could be avoided. Apart from that your idea with the blade in the print head is interesting. I saw that once on a cnc where the blade would follby sungod3k - General
Hm interesting ideas. I thought about the capillary effect but I think the ink is to "pasty" for that, but dipping the pen in the ink might be possible. Maybe there is a sweet spot with only a slightly thinned down ink, where it gets sucked up by the pen. However then Im limited in how much I can draw. I wonder if I could increase the normal gravity feed by putting a weight in the pen that puby sungod3k - General
Hi, I was looking into creating some t-shirts with my printer and it could be done with fabric pens but those always look a bit flimsy, so I got some left over silkscreen ink from a friend who has a whole silkscreen carousel in his cellar. The one issue that im foreseeing is that the ink is pretty thick/viscous and with that my idea of applying the ink with a felt tip marker doesn't seem feasiby sungod3k - General
The link only links to the main page but I assume that you mean the standard wiring diagram. and yes you can connect all your electronics to you ramps and test out everything before you install the components in your frame. i would recommend to test the board connection, endstops and thermistors first with the board only on usb and in a 2nd step the motors with 12V attached. cheersby sungod3k - General
neat idea, maybe you find a way of securing it to the frame during printing and take it of afterwards as a stabilizer of sortsby sungod3k - Delta Machines
Yeah but im exactly after the post processing. I want to make something that can resist some water pressure and would like to know if that realistic with a carbon printer. They have a vid where they make some valve components for a high pressure system, so that looks interesting enough to ask^^by sungod3k - General
Hi, Im looking for a company that uses a carbon 3d printer in Europe/Germany. Has anyone ever come across someone who has rented such a printer? Cheersby sungod3k - General
I dont extrude aluminium but when I go about with my bondtec and a 1mm solex nozzle I put out 25 cmm already and when I want to cool these volumes effciently Im reaching the upper end of my heater ability.by sungod3k - General
I havent heard that an uno can run a printer. but for convenience I would just try my luck with a mega+ramps 1.4. youll find the combo everywhere. with a bit of luck the plug already fit. and yes identifying all the parts beforehand is a good ideaby sungod3k - General

Hi, since I occasionally do 3d printing workshops I thought about getting a 3d printing pen, so I looked around an ali and banggood and they start at 30$ which is fine, but I also remembered some negative reviews about those pens from 1-2 years ago. I dont know if they have gotten so much better that even the cheap ones are usuable. So has anyone made some good experiences with a cheap 3d printby sungod3k - General
Hi, I recently build a filament storage with one of these desiccant dryers boxes I have it now in the filament box and the moisture percentage has stayed at 45% for 3 days and its lower than ambient moisture but still a bit high for my taste, but I have no baseline to compare. Does anyone have a similar storage solution and can share some long term moisture observations? Cheersby sungod3k - Reprappers
Ill asked the vendor of a similar design for some renderings of the internal geometry but got nothing. You need a very gradual filament path and I dont see how that can be manufactured here. The main issue of stringing filament wont be solved by this design. There is another 2 way splitter out there that can be mounted directly to the hotend leaving a similar short retraction distance. If I geby sungod3k - General
Hi, I recently installed a y-splitter on my printer and mechanically that all works out well. The one persistent issue that these systems have is the stringing caused by the filament when it gets retracted. After I figured out that the stringing is mainly caused by moist PLA, I started building my own filament drying storage and while thats on the way I ordered some PETG sample that came recomby sungod3k - Reprappers
Hi, I recently got an Ultimaker original that I upgraded with e3d v6, titan and marlin 1.1.2. This is the first time that I used the auto bed level on a cartesian machine, before I only worked with deltas. I set the levelling method to bilinear and put some bend cardboard on the bed to test how responsive the algorythm is. As you can see in the attached pic the bend shape is captured quite welby sungod3k - Reprappers
I might be a bit spoiled with the bondtech but the ability to transfer heat into the material limits me the most. I calculated the extrusion volume for my different nozzles and then ill push them so fast until the extruder starts slipping and extrapolate those values to bigger nozzles. I would actually love to see volume info from the filament manufacturers.by sungod3k - Smoothie
Hi, Im doing well with smoothie and Re-arm and I spent some time today to square up my frame. Its a big and slightly fragile frame: 1m high and 40cm triangle sides, but with some cross-bracing and flying extruder I have no instabilities. I tried to get all frame related variables as close as possible. Arm length, arm parallelity, triangle sides and height are +-0.5mm. For auto calibration Iby sungod3k - Smoothie
If you dont mind the optics you can place a V bearrings over you towers and a counter weight over each tower. The removes all influences of a swinging extruder from the carriages.by sungod3k - Delta Machines
I ran some more prints, and I still have issues. I ran G32/G31 combo with 9 points and it dropped the connection like before. When I changed to 7 points it worked. I have to repeat that some more times but its not encouraging. and secondly almost on every first print of the day. When I just turn on the printer for the first time, select a file from the micro sd, the bed starts heating up andby sungod3k - Controllers
Is your setup now working perfectly? I still have some freezes when i preheat from the display and also the occasional freeze midprint.by sungod3k - Controllers
For me currently have parts flying in from china for a y splitter. Cost-benefit seems balanced with this setup however I think I have to give up PLA for that and start buying more PET/PETGby sungod3k - General
Yup, I already have the text ready, I just wasnt at my printer today to copy my config and console log. Ill post a something right away.by sungod3k - Controllers
Great, this is the same issue on the smoothie support google group. You mentioning the watchdog is interesting because in the very beginning I had to relax the settings already a bit and over the last 3 days I had 2 "random" "halted, use M999" error, not sure how that fits in the overall picture.by sungod3k - Controllers
