My zprobe info. Graph using R (in mm)
Pretty bad, going to see what the cause is.

Im using a smoothie board. I will take a look at the source code from Duet see if I can pull out the duet html and javascript.

I would like to connect current smaller MOSFET for the heat bed to a bigger MOSFET , will there be any issue doing this?
the current mosfet is to small for the current draw my big heatbed has

Controllers
Thank you for sharing, I have a similar setup with screws and washers holding it down. (Boroglass) I will probably add some cork between washers to let it expand.

What controller do you use or what 3d printer are you using? (Front is relative, I would go based off of towers.)

So what are the slic3r settings (Or different slicer software) that is max for a cherry pi for speed?
Retraction, Speed, ect. (So far I am printing starting around 30mm/s for settings )
I want to see what other peoples speeds are for printing with the cherry pi?

So I talked to the person who made the board, he said I need to replace my PTC Fuse with something larger right now its max current is 11amps.
Can I replace it with something like this? Or what do you think I should do?

Ok so a lot of things.Thanks for community for the help answering questions!
The community was correct about the rods 280mm, I have 284mm Rods do not get the whole length needed. I have a 310 mm diameter plate, I think it can get to around 200mm.
Besides that everything else was a great design!!! Thanks Andy, and every one who helped.
HERE ARE PICTURES of my first and second print.

The light turns off so I assume the current shuts off. (There is led light on the heatbed)

The power to the heat bed turns off around 77c
What do you think the cause is? Is it software, transistor (If it is what should I buy or do), solider job or something else?
Info:
1. I have a pretty crappy soldier job on the heatbed for the main connectors, with a 14 (or 16?) gauge wire a foot long.
2. Also I have fan directly blowing on the transistor with a heatsink on it; however, with out th

Ok, so having lots of issues drilling that ball bearings. I am going off the cherry PI design with 10mm ball bearings.
The problems/attempts:
The lathe does not hold the ball bearing well enough it just gets pushed back. (Even with rubber grips)
Drill press I can never get it in the center, I might make a jig to hold it but the ball bearing is so small wont it just spin the jig.
Is there a che

I don't know and this does not answer your question.
Just a FYI in case you are not going to do it but you probably should secure your heat cartridge and thermometer wires to your heat sink with zip tie or something. I have a bad feeling letting those wire joints take all the movement.

Hate to repost, but do all the endstop switches have to be at the same height? ( Only two are at the same hieght and one is off, one wont fit into the hole)

Do all the end stops need to be perfectly level to each other ?
I might need to re-print my top holder so it fits my switches fit, or find a better solution. (Cherry 4xl)

I have a Smoothie board. I currently do not have a Zprobe, but going to building one soon, have not picked one yet. I was wondering how you retract/deploy the probe? (Like voltage/current)
Also how the sensor works, from what I getting at it is just on off.

Very cool!
I might just build this, looks fun for my delta. Any wiring diagrams? (I am going to check the video out tonight maybe you explain how its wired/works with electronics)

Servo:
Rated Current: 1.2A (That is what the ebay site says; however, I like looking at the datasheet as well)
ITrip can be equal or lower than current rating.
Resistor
Rs=0.2 ohm (StepStick)
Vref = I_TripMax * 8 * Rs
Vref = 1A * 8 * .2
Vref = 1/6
Just follow a video or this on how to do it , its really easy.

Thanks for sharing the source.
I might just buy your complete IR sensor later down the road. When I have more money.
The IR sensor is only 50 cents if I am correct.
Also replacing R4 with 1K ("In schematic is says R1") will give a digital high, when sensor is triggered at critical point height about 535 reading?
(Or Pin 2 straight to output) I need it to ask like a endstop for the smoothie

Also what type of driver do you have?

I have the power-supply-active, the fan only turns on when it starts to get a load (IE heating the heatbed), so its very quite when not using it.

Safety & Best Practices
Yah interrupts are a little more advanced but ardunio makes stuff super easy to code. Don't need a degree in computer engineering to code a mirco-controller.
Shoot me a PM if you need help setting up a interrupt.

Let's design something! (I've got an idea ...)
I would write to console, (using serial) the outputted time for testing.
Update the positions according to the cycle time (If you understand how do that) or setup a interrupt timer.
Make your code modular/easy to read.
Sudo code.
secondsIntrupt()
{
increaseSeconds()
tick = 0
}
increaseSeconds()
{
if(seconds ==61)
{
seconds =0;
}
moveSecondsServo()

I am kind of lost on what is you think is wrong. So you think the distance between the rods and carriage varies between each carriage due to the carriages print layer heights not being even?
Just wondering so I don't make the same mistake.
