So the best approach would be to redefine the pin Abort in GRBL firmware to anything free? Like A4 or A5 which seem to be not connected to anything in RAMPS 1.6?by uth - General

Hello, I would want to have a software emergency stop on my CNC by using GRBL's Abort pin, which is Analog0. This pin is also marked A0/D54. But on RAMPS schematic, there is "Mega connector"/A0 which goes to X-step. On the same connector, there is no D54 but for example D53. On Mega, A0 ... A7 is also marked D54 ... D61 but on RAMP's connector to Mega these make different pins. So I finally do nby uth - General

Hello! Is it ok to make the stop switch simply interrupt the 12V power to RAMPS 1.6, while the Arduino board would still be powered via its power socket? I use the same 12V/8A to power both the Arduino board and RAMPS. While the machine runs, there is also a USB cable from a PC connected to the Arduino, but I guess that it does not change anything. This would not change the port name, as may hapby uth - Safety & Best Practices
