Hi, Thanks a lot! Since I don't know the exact material of Hiwin rails (I'll either use original or knock off depending on the final budget), I'll go with the dual carier option. Looks like I've got some work to do :p Thanks again for your help!

Hello! Thanks a lot for your feedback! I will make the frame myself, also from aluminium sheets, so I can add reinforcement where needed. But I haven't got to this part yet... I didn't think 3mm wouldn't be enough... I will use this site to do the laser cutting: . So there is plenty of material to choose from, and aluminium 6mm is in the list So I'll take that. Hi everyone! About 3 years ago I started into 3D printing with a P3Steel Toolson MK2. I still use it as of today, and recently, I printed a few of stuff for the COVID-19 medical teams. Thank you for your answer As you ay very well, diy is about doing, problem and repair, and this is what I love :p But I wanted to be sure to have a good basis, because sometimes, things are just rubbish.. Now, with the p3steel toolson mk2, I think I'll have a very good basis, so i'll start with that. I'll keep you posted!

Hi, Thanks a lot for the answer! Indeed, the prusa steel seems like a very nice design too. I like the fact that it's steel: heavy is good :p However, I'll need to rethink a bit my BOM. I didn't have the change to check everything, but looking at here the difference seems to be mainly on the extruder?
