Let me start a discussion about pros and cons of the interesting linear belt drive kinematics. Assumptions: Static plate with two motors with timing pulleys ( A, B ) and two idlers; Moving plate with two idlers; Closed-loop belt; Moving plate is constrained in single axis. It seems like a reduction only for horizontal axis - when both motors spinning at same direction.
