IK it's a very very late reply but typing this hoping some visitor may find it helpful. I had the exact same problem with ramps 1.4 and TMC 2209 drivers. Some recommend that one needs to cut the pins of microstepping but I hadn't and just had bent them such that I can use the driver. I tried UART but it didn't work so ran a few prints with full step. Hi all, I have bought a new MKS gen l v1.0 and 2 BigTreeTech TMC2209 drivers. They have 5 pins on facing upwards (PDN, PDN, CLK on long side, DIAG and VREF on short side). The board does not have 9 pins below driver like SKR and newer versions of MKS. How do I connect the top pins to make StealthChop and Sensorless Homing work? Please advise for connections and software both. I have bent tby jayesh - Controllers
