No trouble with customs, no tax needed to pay, but the shipping cost was higher than the product cost itself. I paid $86 for shipping 5kg. You could probably negotiate with them to use the cheapest china post service instead, but it will probably add a lot to the delivery time.by DeuxVis - For Sale
I'm attaching that patch as a file, as pasting it in the post text makes the indentation vanish (python wouldn't like that).by DeuxVis - Skeinforge
Also had to lower Z_Slow_speed a bit in firmware, so it starts acceleration earlier. Now I have only a 5% error left on the Z sizes, a little more tweaking in the Z_steps_by_mm should do it.by DeuxVis - General
Got a techzone huxley too, and wasn't able to disable Limit because of the problem you mention. As far as I can tell the techzone firmware can limit Z speed ONLY if you do a Z only movement. Any X/Y included in the gcode move command would bypass the firmware Z limit. I may be wrong then. I'll give your patch a try, thanks for the report ! Edit : BTW what is the skeinforge version you are patby DeuxVis - Skeinforge

That worked ! Changing the right #define solved it - thanks DetaFlight !by DeuxVis - General
Ooh, right. Mine is probably the one in the MOTHERBOARD == 3 section. Thanks !by DeuxVis - General
I did upload, but I assumed the rebuild is automatic before upload. Meeehhh. Thanks, I'll retry tonite.by DeuxVis - General
Thanks, I thought about skipping, so already tried to avoid that : - Skeinforge has limit enabled with max z feed rate = 0.2mm/s - I'll check for repsnapper settings - not at home right now - but I think I lowered Z speed (something like half the default from my bad memory) there too. Just had another idea, about the firmware not changing anything : Do I need to specify to rebuild after modifyby DeuxVis - General
Hi there. My Techzone Huxley is finally somewhat working now that I replaced it hot end for a mendel-parts V5. Still sometimes got problems with the clamping of the bowden tube, but I'll find a solution. Now everything I print looks somewhat crushed. I know you all love seeing printed parts so here is one (forget the blob, it was printed with my original leaky hotend) : So this is supposed tby DeuxVis - General
The best idea to avoid return costs would be to provide a product that suits the customers need, no ? Something like a detailed web page for each product, with all the technical details, would also avoid people buying something that actually doesn't match what they want. For plastics such a perfect page would list composition, extrusion temperatures, etc... I have nothing against resellers, buby DeuxVis - General
I also read somewhere that a straight (non crossed) ethernet cable is what you need for a replacement. You should be able to find a softer one in general computer stores.by DeuxVis - Controllers
That's interesting, I'll give it a try (setting in preface seems good for not forgetting).by DeuxVis - Skeinforge
Also some lubricant could help. Not sure what is best for PLA on metal, but take care that what you use don't eat the plastic.by DeuxVis - Reprappers
Temperature is not activated ? I had no idea that can work.by DeuxVis - Skeinforge
If you look closely at the color of the wires of both ends of the ethernet cable together, a straight cable will have the same color order on both ends, while a crossover (the most common type I believe) will have some color swapped from one end to the other. Color of the wires have to be inspected in that position :by DeuxVis - Huxley

There is a wiki page which could help you - hopefully it's still correct. It details the wiring of that pseudo-ethernet cable techzone use.by DeuxVis - Controllers
Bob, he's using techzone monotronics as far I understood. Only one pseudo-ethernet cable there.by DeuxVis - Huxley
Can you show us pictures of how you connected everything (thermocouple to hot end management board, and from that to mainboard) ? I just want to make sure we're not forgeting something obvious here. Again, if it says 2511, it means the tip management board is not communicating with the mainboard. If it was, you'd get room temperature, even with no thermocouple connected. This might be a conneby DeuxVis - Huxley

Maybe some of the "extension" connectors located near the usb connector can be used for that. I didn't find information about how those are mapped to the atmega... By any means, you'll probably also need to tinker with the firmware to achieve this.by DeuxVis - General Mendel Topics

I'd like to upgrade to skeinforge 42 (from 41) but I'm not confident enough yet that I'll be able to remind all the settings changes I made. Will the new version use the settings from the previous version or will I have to redo it from scratch ? Thanks.by DeuxVis - Skeinforge
Ok, merci. Je ne suis pas personnellement intéressé par le workshop, j'ai déja une partie des pièces et j'aime bien me casser un peu la tête, mais je suis sur que les gens qui veulent d'abord pouvoir imprimer vite et bien seront tentés.
