first thing that comes to mind is the prusa Air 2 . I know for a fact that those DXF files work Good luckby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
Hi David I cant open them in Autocad 2007 either ...must be something going on Just thought i d let you know its probably not you Good luck Philby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
If youre not in a big hurry you could order here Air 2 acrylic frame S$ 118 inc tax ex shipping as it will be exported you wont have to pay the tax (IVA) which is 21% so that would help with the shipping cost.by bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
First impression is you're printing too hot and too fast for such a small object. My guess is your using Cura so you might want to try reducing packing density ( less filament/ material) Try a sample print of 0.5 mm thin wall and make sure the printed walls are indeed 0.5 mm always worth a read is Calibration Good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
post the file or a link to where you got it from and ill see whats going on Cheers Philby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
Hi Adi I only just came across your posts while searching for something else :-) Are you in Singapore ? Maybe post in the Singapore RUG section of this forum How are things going with you prints now ? Happy to help if i can Good luckby bigfilsing - General
cool let us know how you get on .by bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
romscraj.com have them of course I was recently at SLT and had a good look round but couldn't find any there. If you do find them please be sure to post the info here Cheersby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Looks pretty good to me. In fact the fine detail of the hands looks very good The down side of using support material is the clean up and with the colour filament you have it will show where cuts are made. In some cases ive used the flame from a cigarette lighter to blend in the rough bits. Simply pass the flame over the area. Of course be careful nut to melt it too much and burn it Good lucby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
send photo of the z nut problem then maybe we can suggest possible solutions good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
well at least you have something printing now. I don't have access to a printrbot so i'm afraid i cant really help with the Z nuts coming out but it doesn't sound good. Maybe post some pictures of the issue with the Z nuts and we can make suggestions. First rule of 3D printing is having your printer working correctly mechanically and calibrated properly. Good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
if you go with the epoxy solution then you can always wrap the bolt head in kitchen cling film first. that way the epoxy on sticks to the gear and not the bolt good luckby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
really strange problem you have there. so the same filament works fine in another printer thus proving its not the filament. Have you tried a different filament in the rapidbot. im really struggling to see how it could be the extruder. At no point is there a vacuum to draw in air to mix with the filament. that only leaves the chance that air is being trapped in the tooth marks left in the fillby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
So Julien..you have your new card ....and ..... This is a forum you think you can just abuse suppliers and moan. So is it working or not ????by bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
well if people took the time to watch the video they would realize the print bot has micro switches as end stops and if people read the OP's thread properly they would realize he had set up the end stops manually. It all about reading... most people think they do but rarely actually do ...like most forums Do let us know how you get on with my Gcode Good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
That's good news Julien, glad to hear it. Be sure to let us know how it works out. If you need any spares in future be sure to request "Singpost registered airmail", it cost's 5 Singapore dollars extra but gives you a tracking number and takes 7 to 14 days world wide. Its also a good idea to use "warranty replacement parts" in the description as this avoids the chance of import duty and tax atby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Hi Attached is the gcode file for "20 mm hollow cube" that prints correctly on my Air2 so i know the z starting point is on the bed. It may not print correctly on your machine as inevitably your E steps will be different to suit your extruder but the Z starting point is correct. Good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
I had similar problems before . In my case it was the USB cable plug at the Gen 6 end. i tried a different cable and i havent had the problem since. it may also be the connector on the Gen 6 board Good luckby bigfilsing - General Mendel Topics
If you tell me 1/ ABS or PLA 2/ Nozzel diameter 3/ heated bed or not Ill send you some sample g-code that i know works That way you can find out if its your slicer software or your printer that isn,t working correctlyby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Hi Jaz. Can you give me the address and contact details of Misumi please. Thanksby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
What slicer software are you using ? Might want to check to make sure there's no Z off set in the slicer software settings. I would also recommend using a test cube for first print and adjustments something like 20 mm cube Good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
I'm looking for good quality smooth rods as well and if you bought 6 meters i'd take 2 meters of that off your hands, providing its machine grade steel and straight of course Cheers Philby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Well it may have been lost in the post. It may have been held at customs your end waiting for tax and duty to be paid. Who knows ? My point is until this issue is cleared up and the exact whereabouts of your control board is known, you cant just call people dishonest and assume they are trying to cheat you. That's unfair. Either way, continually posting here and in multiple threads won't achieveby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Nice meeting up with you guys and seeing the interest you have generated in Singapore 3D printing and rep raps. Good work. Good luck with your "cube" frame developments SW Cheersby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Julien I am not questioning whether you have a legitimate claim for warranty on defective parts or not! That's none of my business. I am asking you to stop spamming the Singapore Rep rap forum with your complaints. That's all. Good luckby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Hi Can you confirm the times and location please CHeersby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Julien Just a bit of advice mate If you're not living in Singapore then don't post on the Singapore thread. If you are living in Singapore then go visit the guys at Romscraj and sort this out. All my experiences with the guys have been good. I for one ( and im sure many others) are getting tired of your continual moaning . Not to mention posting the same stuff across multiple threads. Sby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Hi The only thing i have found that is compatible with the Romscraj hobbed gear is a toothed M3 gear wheel at Jet Hobby Ubi Avenue 3 The teeth are not quite as "sharp" as the Romscraj ones so probably more suited to ABS ( which is softer) but it does fit onto an M3 bolt I wouldn't recommend trying 3mm filament - 0.3 nozzel direct drive , assuming your using the standard Gen6D board that Romscrby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
Hi Id be interested to know which online local store you have found ? Please post a link You are correct that most stepper motors are 1.8 degree motors . 0.9 would in principle give you a finer resolution of course but i have yet to see a significant difference in model quality. Most importantly you will definitely need to check that your intended control board will support 0.9 steps otherwiseby bigfilsing - Singapore RUG
