hmmm ok will hold off for now then. This is really a strange issue its as if i have a consistent irregular extrusion happening. I realigned the Z motors and rods to be dead centre so theres like 0 wobble in them. I tried printing with the bearings ontop of the leadscrews and without with the same results. Used fixed couplers same issue then flex couplers the same issue. Belts are tight axis runsby eviltoy - Printing
I am wondering if it might be the drivers themselves. I have TMC2100 drivers that I wanted to use on X&Y and DRV8825 that I wanted to use on the Z and Extruder. Would this be a worthwihle exercise?by eviltoy - Printing
Correct bands go all around but its not the same as the pitch of the leadscrew its finerby eviltoy - Printing
Yup all smooth. I switched leadscrews as well as I thought they were the problem.by eviltoy - Printing
Super solid no flex no play in the rodsby eviltoy - Printing
So i realigned the z motors and then tightened the extruder idler. Now i have a semblance of consistency in the form of ribbingby eviltoy - Printing
Changed leadscrews same issueby eviltoy - Printing
Found flex in the extruder mount but alas it was not the silver bulletby eviltoy - Printing
Realigned the belts and tensioned them again. Also checked stepper positioning. Changed nozzles as well. The irregularities continue. Ill be getting some new belts and leadscrews today and also changing to silent stepsticks for x and Yby eviltoy - Printing
ok tried temp lowering of the bed. Printing at a higher temp. And slowing it down now with the same results. At a loss nowby eviltoy - Printing
Ill try that when I get home. I print on kapton with abs juiceby eviltoy - Printing
Quotedeaconfrost heat bed does have a big effect on print quality, I have stopped using heatbed for the last 3 months I print pla on acrylic plate and abs juice on the plate with no heat bed, all good I see a quality improvement especially on lower layers Pla is a no go for me as most of the parts I print will be subjected to some heat stress and machining at some pointby eviltoy - Printing
QuoteDirty Steve try printing without bed heat.......seriously. I've been printing for 4 years, I might know something....... I only have abs at the moment. Ill try it soon as I get home though with some glue stick. The bed is tuned though and temps dont deviate but will still try itby eviltoy - Printing
I tried petg in white and it was the same ill try slowing it down when i get homeby eviltoy - Printing
Yes i have started At 50mm/s and down to 30mm/s still the sameby eviltoy - Printing
I removed the threaded rods and realigned and regreased to no avail its extremely inconsistentby eviltoy - Printing
I measured distance extruded and calculated its on 419 in the firmware and extrudes exactly 100mm when requestedby eviltoy - Printing
Ok played with retracts even turned them off same issueby eviltoy - Printing
Will try both suggestions and report backby eviltoy - Printing
So I recently built a Wilson 2 running a e3d v6 and titan extruder. I have been get very inconsistent banding across all prints. All steps are correctly configured and the extrusion is accurate but the layers do not seem to be uniform at all. Any ideas what it could be? All belts are tight and the z axis moves freelyby eviltoy - Printing
Looks like overextrusion to meby eviltoy - Prusa i3 and variants
Hi so i am running a prusa i3 with a wades extruder i noticed that i get weird vertical banding on my prints i have slowed down my speeds but to no avail. Any ideas?by eviltoy - Prusa i3 and variants
Or do you mean extend the 4 verticle posts by 20mmby eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
Think i will extend the 4 horizontal bars. Should they be 20mm or 40mm? I can get the joints as in the first linkby eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
hmmm will printed cube connectors work for this? Can't find them anywhere locally.by eviltoy - CoreXY Machines
Managed to fix this by using one solid coupler and one flexibleby eviltoy - Printing
