Looks like the UK is slapping 20% on all purchases on ebay from other countries(but China's not in the EU)...regardless of any 10 or 15 quid item limit...Them damn Chinese trying to sell us cheap goods...we can't have that we must make everything expensive for our Citizens again! bbbbut Minister your already charging them top dollar for everything, they will not stand for it... tuff let them eatby MechaBits - General

A Bird can make a nest in one or two days, a rat in a day, but it may take a human 30 years... Land is a problem, cheap materials another problem, if possible making a house out of pre-cast blocks of whatever material probably make the most sense, as it's readily available and you could make moulds & control curing better, if you really wanted you could try printing them....but then introduby MechaBits - General
Some people are just more adept at giving advice guidance(pause for thought) with fewer words, some like go through all the steps, some like to make the person think a bit harder, who here doesnt like Victor Meldrew, I've never watched that program wondering why he's in a mood or Rich Hall he's another grumpy funny guy(not sure this stuff works good in text form), I prefer direct / curt than sugaby MechaBits - General

Printing Printer Parts on hold while I plug a few other holes in the shooting armory, manual focus is a pain, dual focus a bigger pain, & close focus with anamorphics another challenge. Cinelux closest focus is apparently 3 meters and the smaller Ultrastar about 1.2m, I have two Cinelux anamorphics but one is set at infinity and needs to be fixed there, as I I have theby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames

That is the way to do it...upload sketch to bare arduino, then add the ramps, not while plugged in....turning psu on after usb connection is fine, if not the best way too do it, but it works both ways. I had a little issue with my ramps setup last week, it was a bit of a pain to get every axis moving, in the end most of the issue was wrong cable on Z motor, changed that driver, and rewired the Yby MechaBits - Reprappers

Pondering Phase...Printer almost complete, I need to print a part cooler but don't want to print just one part...pondering for days, when I decided on a 90x90x20 interface plate to raise & mount the bed at the required height...though that was going to triple the print time...then I chopped it down to 50mm wide...before realizing I didnt even need to print anything & could do it betteby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames

I was thinking the same but for a foldable cantilevered arm, but also with core xy rig on the ceiling(or cut a hole in bedroom floor, not easy in a single storey ), or a really light axis/actuator/telescopic arm hanging from the H bar, though have to think long & hard about how big the bed could be....2m( or my 670mm LWF42) x200mmx200mm is not a volume I need, a rocket to the moon? 3D printeby MechaBits - Reprappers

Hot off the Presstidigitizer, bustin out some new shapes & some old. New left Z Base Part 1, bottom part 2 will be the last part needed, and a smaller Z base for the right side, right side needed an extra part for the motor but decided to use the parts from the left side for now to save time on printing but will probably update it at some point, so take a look at the previous beauty befby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames
The first printer was made homeless by a younger sleeker upstart, so I found a plinth for Numero Uno to stand on, but it throws up a dilemma of which direction to take the new parts. Do I split the 4 rod Z column and have 2 either end of gantry(2 dif' directions) or keep the 4 and have 2 at other end, or ditch the 2 at the end and use a 12mm rod. Top bracing the rods would be tricky for maybe aby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames

PLA+ first print on 3m tape, no change in settings(which I was dreading changing FW as my max temps set at 210), came off without peeling tape, slight curl on the thin part which I was expecting because of the chamfers but it slid into place perfect, model not off thingverse, I had a look at a few but didnt even dl one for size, maybe I should have because shutter button isnt in perfect positioby MechaBits - Extruded Aluminum Frames
Have you had no luck with Blue painters tape & elnet? My first roll lasted quite a while, many times being able to reuse as it hadnt torn getting part off. Though that roll ran out recently and I wasnt so lucky with the second roll at £4, I must have missed the Clean Peel(not very sticky) in the listing, really cheap n nasty thin paper that would wrinkle when wet with spray and would lift witby MechaBits - Reprappers
