Did some more research. The question I guess I really want to ask now is what is better in your experiences, the makergear hotend or the v5/v6 from mendel-parts.com? Also, what is your preffered nozzle size? I see that the mendel-parts.com will have some new nozzle sizes soon, while the makergear already has a wide variety.

What would you guys reccomend for a hotend? There seems to be many different types with many different nozzle sizes etc, what is overall the best quality and the most customizable? Thanks

Hmm, the wiki says you need 5 stepper motors. Is that right? I thought it was 4 (X,Y,Z axis + extruder). Just wanted to be sure before I order my parts. Thanks

Hey guys, I'm experimenting with the idea of building a Mendel. I'de like to keep it on as tight a budget as possible. Are there any recommendations you guys have to keep costs low? I'm a tad bit confused with electronics sets on the wiki, what is the current best/cheapest solution? I don't mind spending a day or two soldering excessively small components onto a board.
