Hello all, I am placing an order with Repraper, a Chinese crowd who seem to make quite good quality filament. I have an assortment of colours from them, all in 3mm, and their filament is round, and very consistent in size, at around 2.96mm. I am about to place another order. Their filament is well priced, for the quality (at least I think so). Postage works out to be about $11/kg. They onlyby PandPP - Australia, Melbourne RUG
Thanks for the suggestion. Tried that, but no joy. Via Putty, I could connect. Jumper the Rx & Tx together, and you'd get rubbish out, so, some part of the chip got fried, but, not all of it. Sourced a new FTDI chip, next day delivery. Managed to get the old chip off without too much board destruction & solder the new one on. Up it came after that. Back to trying to calibrate it.by PandPP - Reprappers
I realise this is a long shot, but thought I'd give it a try. Trying to calibrate my Prusa. Getting there slowly. Went to bed last night, had enough. All working, electronically at least. Got up this morning, powered it on, then went to set up the PC ready for more testing. Whilst I was busy, the extruder head heated up to the point that the filament literally dripped out of the nozzle, smoby PandPP - Reprappers
Chris, You have a choice; either you print your own bearings, OR, you buy LM8UU bearings. The printed bearings I have read about are usually printed out of PLA. Having read only yesterday that PLA has a higher coefficient of friction than ABS, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, Regards, Peter.by PandPP - Reprappers
Okay, I'll answer this and hopefully it will make sense, and people don't disagree too much. I'm not that far in front of you. Go to GitHub. There will be a link near the top left, to grab the whole project as a Zip file. Inside here, will be the SCAD files, and from what you have written above, a MS DOS batch file, which builds the STL files from the SCAD files, using OpenSCAD. So, grab thby PandPP - Reprappers
As per , I needed to change the baud rate down to 38400, but also the protocol from stk500 to arduino. Windows had defaulted the port speed to 57600 in Device Manager, so that needed dropping down to 38400 as well. Hey presto, it works.by PandPP - Reprappers
I have now got the second PC to play friendly & talk to the Uno & Sanguinololu. The only difference is that the resp code is now 0x00.by PandPP - Reprappers
Hello all. I finally have my Prusa built & together. I have tested the motors and all is working well, except the calibration is obviously off. I downloaded Marlin, but kept getting compile errors. Next I downloaded Sprinter, but kept getting compiler errors. Lastly I downloaded Repetier, and YES, it compiles. What it doesn't do though, is upload. I get the following error: avrdude: stk5by PandPP - Reprappers
Is this still for sale or already sold? Where in Oz is it currently located? Can you provide more detail on what is being included? Is it printed in PLA or ABS? S/S rods? What hotend? Maybe a piccy? Thanks, Peter. Melbourneby PandPP - For Sale
