The ballscrews for the X and Y are way too small of a pitch you need high lead ballscrews. Hopefully you have not purchased them yet somewhere around 20 mm per turn or above would be okay. You should be able to find some used on eBay this would be your best bet. I've built plenty of machines with 8020 and linear rails you should be fine. I don't know how good your skills are what tools you have a dial indicator with a magnetic base helps a lot. Do you remember if the problem started when you changed filament like I said there's a lot of different filaments out there and some are quite different with temperature. When at a problem like that arises I always look to what I've changed first. And depending on the filament I've heard some people print up to 235 C for certain types of PLA try to think back is it when you put a new spool on orby cnc dick - Printing
I am not a expert with PLA but some of the new stuff as a very high temperature if it is this a fairly new role of filament I've heard of a manufacturer that suggests 235 c plus check to make sure it is PLA is what it says I've heard of some roles marked wrong and actually it was ABS. 3-D printing is a slow process and their are going to be prints that are going to take 24 hours even when a small bed. So watching them for long periods of time becomes pretty much impossible they have to be very reliable or just do small prints to take eight to 10 hours. I don't know what you're building but a thousand millimeter long 8mm rod is ridiculous 8mm diameter rod is not even really good at 300 mm long. Even with nothing on it it will sag by its own weight in the middle a little less than a millimeter way too much for anything accurate to guideby cnc dick - Mechanics
