Yes that is correct you must have G29 in the g-code before you start the print. You can add the G29 in Slic3r if you like but what i do is just edit the g-code after slicing and add it myself. Ether way works.by pdavg - Reprappers
Quoteduckfriedrice Wohoo 1. After homing the XYZ Axis the nozzle is moved to somewhere in near the center of the bed (Around 3cm away from the center), I'd like the nozzle to stop at the XYZ min spot automatically after auto homing Hi have you set your hotend to probe Offsets in your firmware? // these are the offsets to the probe relative to the extruder tip (Hotend - Probe) #define X_PRby pdavg - Reprappers
Hi 2 things to try (I had same problem) First check your 'Z' endstop wires I have a short on mine which gave a false switch signal. And second try turning your 'Z' axis POT up a little at a time to increase the power, you may just not have the power high enought.by pdavg - Reprappers
PVA Glue works for me. Clean the glass with glass cleaner then paint a 20 par PVA to 80 part water mix on the glass heat to 60c then your done.by pdavg - Reprappers
Hi, First thing to try is to reduce you hotend temp. this may help with the dripping of filament. It maybe you are running to hot which is allowing the filament to dribble. As for layer height I am using a 0.5 J-Head and run ALL my prints at 0.4 height and have had no problems but have never tryed to do layers of 0.2 so not if this is of any help or not.by pdavg - Reprappers
Yep I agree your 'X' carriage is the wrong way round my friend there should also be 2 holes in it which will allow you to bolt on your WADE extruder. Hope this helps.by pdavg - General Mendel Topics
Hi not sure from your photos which way round it should be... What type of extruder are you using? and which Mendel model the original or the i2?by pdavg - General Mendel Topics

- 13 years agoYes I sent back to the place I got it from and asked them to test it for me. They sent me back a report and it turns out the chip was at fault and so it was replaced F.O.C. If you can get someone who knows what to look for to test it, Its much easyer.by pdavg - General Mendel Topics

I had the same problem and found that if you dont have it all hocked up you carnt get any life from your motors.by pdavg - General
Yes checked that 3 times. I think that it may be a firmware thing as there is a list of sensors within it that dont seam to relate to anything. Not sure im still new to all this. My firmware is as below (if its any help) //=========================================================================== //=============================Thermal Settings ============================ //==================by pdavg - General

Thanks, I will have another look at google but when I looked before it sent me all over the space continum I also understand how the extrusion works its just I am not sure how to get the feed rate at a usable rate, so far I have just been getting no feed due to feed to high so not melting my pla or just running out of hot material.by pdavg - General
Hello all sorry but I am new to this and this is probably a silly thing to ask but, I have set my fireware for my x,y & z stepper motors but have no clue how to work out the vaule for the extruder. I have a Sanguino 1.3a board with Atmega 1284p running Marlin firmware. So far my setting look like this (just for information really) #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {72.7442,72.7442,200.by pdavg - General
