Building a 3D printer is a serious project. I guess I could sum it up below; - you must be a handyman and have the basic tools. Cutting threaded rods and filing the ends to put the nuts. - you must know basic electronics and have the tools. You will solder wires and crimp molex pins. - you will use a voltmeter to measure ohms and volts. - you have to be patient. There will be lots of frustrationsby esvalencia - Reprappers

Hello! I have a Prusa i3 with Ramps 1.4, mechanical switches which works perfectly with Marlin_v1 firmware (modified with these hardware). When I add the REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER (or uncomment in firmware), the Z-axis homing goes some 5 mm UPWARD (instead of going down to hit the endstop switch then back off 1 mm like it normally do without the LCD). The LCD seem to work just fine. I caby esvalencia - Reprappers
