I hadn't thought about the fan. I've played around with cooling a little bit and have found that the bed is fairly sensitive to fans. My nozzle isn't bothered as much.by flyboy - Printing

My first thought is that if you're using a single power supply, it may not be able to handle the load of both heaters and your motors, etc.by flyboy - Printing

Sorry about the lack of detail. Prusa Mendel 200 x 200 3mm ABS plastic layers are .3mm j-head nozzle = .5mm hot end temp = 225 C bed temp = 110 C with kapton tape currently no cooling fan Printrun 12 July 2013 and the packaged Slic3r on WinXP Sanguinololu 1.3 What else have I forgotten?by flyboy - Printing

I recently completed my Prusa Mendel and have been having a great time printing. I love it. However, I'm seeing some issues in some of my prints that I don't know how to deal with. Can anyone suggest the causes of the "bubbling" indicated by the red arrow and by the layer separation, indicated by the green arrow? I'm thinking they may be related to things like nozzle temperature, cooling, filby flyboy - Printing

@Damion Are you finding that the heatbed heats better and faster at 16V? Mine takes about 20 minutes or longer at 12V. What PSU are you using for the 16V?by flyboy - Reprappers

I'm also having this problem. I tried changing the settings in slic3r and it still drops the nozzle temp to 200 before it will print. I manually opened the config file and changed the values, but still, no cigar. When I print, I must wait for the nozzle to start moving, then I reset the temp back to 225. I'm using the 12July 2013 version of Pronterface.by flyboy - Reprappers
