So I was designing a case to side on the side to hide all the ugly wires and connections from the ramps board sitting on the side. My designed case was not letting the ramps board breath well enough it would cause the prints to stop after about 5-10 min. It would also stop heating the bed if I was working on filament profiles on cura to upload to octoprint. So I googled a bit found a couple ofby dvd7227 - Reprappers
Nice I think I'm set obewan, thanks a lot man Sorry I keep bugging you guys these 3d printers are a tweaking hobby, I'm playing with temps now hopefully I can finish this 8 hour print lolby dvd7227 - Printing
Obewan so I switched the x motor and that worked but my endstop was in the other direction so I had to quickly shut if off, it's ok though I'll probably just leave it how it is, as for the G29 homing being off center I just went back in config_h and put the old values I had for Y offset and X and pushed m502 and m500 and my gcode script I reverted back to the older one I had and everything is gooby dvd7227 - Printing
Just messed around with the invert on config h file and it does work to invert it to move in the opposite direction, but as I hit home the end stops were on the other side so I had to quickly shut if off. Changed the invert false/true back to what it wasby dvd7227 - Printing
Hey Obewan, You helped me out last time (m500 and m501 commands) after changing offsets on marlin to take affect for perfect z height after auto bed level. I attached two photos of where the x is located on (right of extruder) y is located (near the front bezel of the bed) I think I was looking it up and found this post not sure if it'll help to put this in the conf_h file --- INVERT_Y_DIRby dvd7227 - Printing
Hi guys, I am having an issue with my Makerfarm Prusa i3 "8" - Marlin Firmware, it might be a quick fix but here it is, I have also attached 2 pictures with drawings that can give a good idea of what's happening 1st Photo - After G28, when G29 starts it'll start from the top right corner. (Adjusting offsets?) or maybe someone created a video with a fix for this, Autobed starts from top and moveby dvd7227 - Printing
Quoteobewan eeprom settings have preference over values set in the config file push M502 M500 to update eeprom with the config settings or you could use the M206 to edit Z offset directly Obewan you were right, after making changes and uploading the firmware I went on Octoprint and pushed those two commands and wallah the changes I was making on the z_offset were taken into affect. Thanks man Imma try that nowby dvd7227 - Printing
Hi guys, For some this might be an easy answer but I've been trying to get that perfect first layer, I was able to fix this by changing the z offset on the arduino software and uploading to the ramps board. My z_offset is set to -1.36 which was the closest I got it to printing well but to close (not a perfect line) I'm making changes and uploaded but none of the changes are taking affect. Hi guys, So my question is fairly easy so I'll ask the question first then I'll go into detail below the question just in case my issue is something else If you plug in a new power supply rated at 12v and 30amps to a ramps board, and start to see smoke appear from the ramps board on the positive and com entrance where the wires plug into, why is this happening? is there to much voltage that neby dvd7227 - Reprappers
