vegetable oil/peanut oil or similar helps a lot on a bowden tube......Don't go too crazy with the oil, or your prints will smell like french frys...by Hiram - Reprappers
[Many Pictures] - 12 years agoLooks like a great design. I just bought a pair of E3d hot ends, for the reason of a wide selection of orifices, and easy Bowden set-up, what would put the setup over-the-top would be a single sink that held both hotend's.by Hiram - General

Is there a way rename the Extruder 1 button to Extruder 0 and Extruder 2 to Extruder 1 ?? Thanksby Hiram - Repetier
I bought 2 e3d bowden hot ends, no set up problems, they were both the exact same height, they work great. I wired them together at the bottom and top with #14 solid copper wire through the fins... I am surprised that I did not have any height issues........by Hiram - General
Nice looking printer. JB Weld is a good epoxy that can handle a lot of heat. If you set up for Nylon printing, you wont need a heated bed, Nylon is a little bit cheaper than PLA and ABS, plus it can be dyed with cheap off the shelf dyes.........Nylon is is the toughest printable plastic out there for now...by Hiram - General Mendel Topics
// Number of servos // // If you select a configuration below, this will receive a default value and does not need to be set manually // set it manually if you have more servos than extruders and wish to manually control some // leaving it undefined or defining as 0 will disable the servo subsystem // If unsure, leave commented / disabled // #define NUM_SERVOS 1 // Servo index starts with 0 for Mby Hiram - Mendel90
I was looking at the Analog pins and extension header, , and the Ardunio Mega pins 89-94 don't seem to be going to the correct analog pin header as per schematic all but pin 90 seem to be incorrect. 89 PK0 ( ADC8/PCINT16 ) Analog pin 8 Analog-Ext 1 90 PF7 ( ADC7/PCINT15 ) Analog pin 7 Thermistor 3, Analog-Ext 2 91 PF6 ( ADC6/PCINT14 ) Analog pin 6 Analog-Ext 3 92 PF5 ( ADC5/TMS )by Hiram - General

Is there a way to turn off the perimiter that Slice3r makes for a multi-material file? The perimiter does nothing but get in the way, it is too thin and gets broken.........by Hiram - Slic3r
I am also fighting with my dual extruder upgrade, I am starting to wonder if it was really an upgrade afterall. Slice3r and Repetier host seem to do whatever they want........ I am trying to print a circle with extruder 2 only, but extuder keeps wantin to print a perimiter. Extruder temperature 2 also wants to run cooler than 1......... Good thing I am still somewhat young..by Hiram - Slic3r
