Sublime you were right, the threads are NPT threads. I wasn't able to find the right type of plug locally so I guess I'll be ordering one.... awesome, another week waiting.by brobinsonx - Reprappers
Quotekevbme What configuration should I have? I've played with them with no difference. I'm not sure if it will help or not but I attached my config file for you to reference. I have a Mendel i2 / Ramps 1.4 / Marlin. I'm not familiar with Sanguinololu boards or Sprinter Firmware so I don't know if its even relevant. It's also very possible there is a problem with the wiring but again, I'm notby brobinsonx - Reprappers
I checked for the PTFE liner and it does have one, so i guess I dodged a bullet there. I like your idea about just replacing the top fitting. According to the print on eBay the threads are standard 5/16-24 SAE threads so a simple set screw will do (of course with a hole drilled). Hopefully tomorrow I can test it out. Thanks for the help Sublime.by brobinsonx - Reprappers
To me, your endstop issue sounds like a setting problem in your configuration file as already mentioned. Your x axis direction problem is especially interesting to me. I'm not aware of any settings that would cause it to behave in that way. I suppose it could be a problem with your stepper driver. Have you tried swapping the x and y drivers to see if the problem moves to th y axis? That wouldby brobinsonx - Reprappers
I completely agree with the first reply, it sounds like a calibration issue. Since it was consistently off on all 3 axes, I would double check your scale setting in your slice software. Keep in mind if it is a step/mm issue, it would be much more apparent on larger prints so that may be why your first few prints seemed good. If you have access to a dial indicator, I would strongly recommend usby brobinsonx - Reprappers
I would have to agree with your interpretation of the license, A2, although I did not realize that at the time of purchase. I have searched thingiverse without luck. None of the mounts or extruder bodies I've seen account for the brass inlet part.... unless I'm missing something. The other problem I have is the fact that my printer is currently down due to the lack of a usable hotend. At $25 iby brobinsonx - Reprappers
I had a similar problem with my machine, but would occasionally see a huge shift in my prints (several millimeters). This first thing I did was slowed the travel speed down which did help but in hindsight it was only a band aid to the real problem. After further troubleshooting I realized my x axis was binding but only slightly (it felt a little jerky when sliding by hand). When you consider thby brobinsonx - Reprappers
I just purchased one of these J-Head MK-V hot ends off of eBay. After receiving it today I realized there is a brass fitting on the cold end that will not allow it to mount to my current setup (Mendel i2, Greg's Hinged Accessible Extruder, was using a J-Head Lite hot end). Does anyone know of a solutions for mounting this hot end? I haven't had any luck finding anything.by brobinsonx - Reprappers
