Error verily ad compile Marlin - 9 years ago
I have a i3 prusa printer. I just installed the new Arduino ide 1.82 to my board. I have tried to upload, verily and compile Marlin 1.0, but I get and error message, ( using typedef- name'fpos_t' after 'struct') How do I fix this? board mega 2580 Edby tobig11 - Reprappers

I checked everything out it all seems ok .I feel it my be the stepper motor driver. I just ordered new drivers They should be here by the end of the week. If that not it I guess I will have to change the board.by tobig11 - Reprappers

I tried the original g code for slice. It hade a few things different then the one I was using. This time it got 2 layers printer good then on the third layer the hot end did not move up. What now?by tobig11 - Reprappers

My printer is Prusa i3. I have been using it for about 3 years. What it is doing now is printing the firs layer good then printing the second layer halfway through it the hot end will drop down and wipe out the first layer. Arduinp IDE Marlin f firmwareby tobig11 - Reprappers

I build , Repap Prusa i3, printer about 3 years ago. I would like to upgrade my Arduino IDE from the old version to the new version on my , auduino Mega 2560 board. Can I just upload over the version that is on the now or how would I go about doing This? I also would like to upgrade my Marlin Firmware from the old version to the new. I need to do this because of the new all metal Hotend to do thby tobig11 - Reprappers

My printer come with PLA parts. I have printed hundreds of things with my printer with the MXIV hot end, with no problems, outside of the hot end being replaced now and them. I re installed the old MKIV and the printer now works find. Does the Configuration stay the same or do you have to change something.by tobig11 - Reprappers

My printer is a Prusa i3. I have been using the reprap 3d MKIV head hot end. I have now switched to the, all metal J head hot end V6 for reprap 3d printer. Went to use the printer with Pronterface. What happen is at first the hot end would not heat up. Then I tried it again and it got so hot it melted the pla part that was holding it in and stopped working. I disconnected the hot end. The headbed is a mk2a. Change the wire to the thermistor to a thinner wire. This got me to 90 degrees. I quess, next I will get something to insulate the bottom of the bed. To me I would rather print with PLA then ABS. ABS is more durable then PLA, butis easier to work with and don't smell. May in time when I work with it more I will like it better. The biggest dislike for me is trying to getby tobig11 - Reprappers

I’ve been printing with , pla filament, for over a year. Works great, have no problems. Decided to try printing with, abs filament. The heat bead would not heat up, which I was told probably was the, mofet, that was no good. So I deicide to change the, Ramps 1.4 board. The problem now is the heat bed will heat up, but will not go any higher then in the high seventy degrees’ and then settle baby tobig11 - Reprappers

Changed the Ramps board this morning, Headbed now works. From what I can tell it looks like one of the leads on the mofet is broken. Thank youby tobig11 - Reprappers

The reason I'm asking is that my heatbed will not get hot and I was told that the mosfet might be bad. So if I have to take the board apart, I might as well just change the ramps. the bed starts to get hot, the red led goes on but not for long. That's as far as it goes. Edby tobig11 - Reprappers

I'm using the Mega 2560 R3 control board with the Ramps 1.4. If I just change the ramps 1.4 board and use the same Mega board, do I have to reinstall the firmware again or is everthing on the mega 2560 board. Thank you, Edby tobig11 - Reprappers

The firmware seems alright, except for the first #define TEMP SENSOR you say to set it at 0 57. I have no 57. The voltage at D8 is one volt and the heatbed will heat to 21 deg. no higher. I read that you can turn the voltage up on D8 somehow at the power supply. If so how do you do that? I working with 120 V power. If you still thing it is the mosfet, what kind should I get. Does the heatbed have to be turned on in the firmware? If so, Hw do you do this? Arduino board. Firmware is; Reprap firmware based on Sprinter and grbl. All the red led comes on solid then goes out.by tobig11 - Reprappers

I have a Prusa i3 printer. Been using it for about 8 months with PLA filament. Works great. I decided to try ABS filament. The problem is the heatbed will not heatup, It will start to heatup and just go to 23 deg. The bed is a, PCB heatbed Mk2a. Using anduino frimware. If you home the z axis to the top, what stops the extuder from colliding with the bed when you go to print?by tobig11 - Reprappers

I will check this out tomorrow, I don't have any time to do it today. I will then get back to you Question; If you set the z to max woun't it home to the top instead of the bed? what do you meam, specified for min/max in pins h. is that located in configg. h?by tobig11 - Reprappers

In pronterface the y axis with plus goes to the back. In the frimware when the, y home dir -1 min, it would only home to the front to the front. I also change the, y min endstop inverting to false, or the endstop would not stop the table. My endstops are setup using NC and Com pins. On the board NC goes to S and COM goes -. I changed the x axis, to the right, because the company I got the kit frby tobig11 - Reprappers

I changed the endstop from the front of the y axis to the back of the y axis. In order for the y axis to home to the back I had to change ,in configuration h, # define Y_home_ dir -1 to 1. and the Y ENDSTOPS-INVERTING from true to false to invert the logic of the end stops. My endstops are set up work on NC.Then on te board changed the y pins for the Min pins to the Max pins.by tobig11 - Reprappers

I set up the y axis to home to the back. this doesn't make any diference, it still mirrors everything when I print. Any more ideas? Also I had the x axix homing on the ldft I changed that to the right.by tobig11 - Reprappers

I have a prusa i3 printer. I’m using Pronterface with slic3r for printing When I print something, It prints like a mirror image of what I want. On the computer on proterface plater it shows the part that is up to the top and when it prints on the bed that up part is down as if a mirror image . What is causing this? Edby tobig11 - Reprappers
