New Build from old Cobblebot - 9 years ago

Hello Everyone, I have 2 small printers monoprice and an anet a8 and they print fine. I was given a cobblebot recently but missing some parts. There is no build manual I can find for the cobblebot and certainly no support. My question is, what other builds are there that I can make with I have in the cobblebot (ie Frame, hotend, ramps) and make a large format printer. I have looked but not s

Kossel Level Issue - 9 years ago

I have a mini kossel that you guys helped me with the firmware for ramps board. I am printing now but when it prints it is higher on one end and lower on the other. I have it zeroed correctly. I have measured and remeasured all the offsets(effector, carriage, smooth rod). I have used the G29 Auto level and still it raises up on one end and to close on the other end. Any ideas? I have a mini kossel from aliexpress, it is about a year old. Here is the printer. The orginial board died and I have a ramps board that I have attached. Does anyone have the firmware for this printer on the ramps board? Thank you very much. Keith

RAMPS Firmware for Hesine M-505 - 10 years ago

Hello Everyone, I have had a Hesine M-505 printer from Aliexpress for a while now and it has printed fine. The other day the melzi board died. I have a RAMPS 1.4 board I want to replace it with. My question is, Is there a firmware that works for this printer for the RAMPS board. I have looked but with no luck. Sincerely, Keith

Thanks for the comment. I added the little sponge and silicon last night. It still prints a little then stops flowing. I have changed the tension numerous times. Here is a pic of the filament on the last stoppage. Thanks, Keith

Thank everyone for your advice. I apologize for not responding, out of town then sick. I have tried most of the suggestions, I have the extruder temp at 195, bed heat 0 for pla. When the fan comes on it goes down a little. The most frustrating thing is that I actually printed a full part but since then it will print for a while and then stop flowing. I have never printed back to back full prints

The print continues but nothing comes out of the nozzle. It is a E3D style aluminum block. I am printing pla at 1.75. The extruder stepper continues as normal. I did notice on the filament little marks where the gear is. I have 2 fans one for the object and 1 for the extruder. I have tried numerous times to print a 10mm object with 1 success. The temp does tend to drop and then come back up. I wi

I have a m505 Prussia i3 with 1.75mm extruded with .4mm nozzle. Using Melzi board and repetier. I had a part print the first time with default settings. Ever since then I have not been able to print anything to completion. The print starts and prints the first couple of layers fine then the filament stops flowing and that is it. Extruder Motor Issue - 10 years ago

I recently had an issue with my M505 prusa I3 where I had to connect it to another pc. Once I moved the printer and starting printing again I noticed that during the print the extruder motor is not moving to pull the filament. I test the extruder in repetier manual control and the motor works to pull the filament fine. I am not sure if any settings have changed or if the board is the issue. Than

First Layer Print with PLA - 10 years ago

I am new to 3D printing and I have an m-505 prusa i3 I built from a kit. It uses repetier software. When I use the slicer and start the print the extruder seems to not come back to where I leveled the bed and thus seems to far from the bed for the PLA to stick. Not sure what I am doing wrong. SmartController Issue - 11 years ago

I have been using ramps 1.4 with a reprap discount smart controller and it has been working fine. I use marlin v1 firmware. I have a 20a ps. Now, when I turn the power on the lcd does not come but if I connect via usb it comes on. Any idea what is happening. Is it a power issue or pin issue. I have the reprap smart controller uncommented in configuration. I don't know what to do. Thanks,

Thanks a lot for the info. They are in parallel. My motors are rated at .6 amps. How do I set the amps correctly on the potentiometer? Also is there a way to check the current with a multimeter? Thanks again.

I have recently finished putting together a prusa mendel i2. I get motor jitter(z axis) when both are connected to ramps but with one connected it moves fine. I am using a 12v 20a power supply. My question is, is it a power, ramps or motor issue? It is very frustrating. Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks, Keith
