The X-homing tab is that small protrusion on the Z-runner, am I right? If I get the X carriage as close to it as I can, the G31 now returns values in the range between 19 and 26, while there is white paper on the top and also the side of that protrusion. The sensor board is something like 2cm away from it and the edge of the board is right in one level with its top. It is square to the board anby mgb - Ormerod

Dear Victhor, I've tried what you suggested with the X axis, I tried to set the position 0 with the G92X0, but it does the same when I try to home it, that it did before - crashes to the extursion. Y homing works fine. I also tried to set the Z homing again, like you and the official site have explained it, but nothing good so far. I hope it can be fixed somehow, or I will remove the automatic hoby mgb - Ormerod

You are right jstck, I'm using an IR sensor and the gcode files I'm using were released on 3.7.2014. I see changes in the sensor reading when I move the X carriage by hand - the are decreasing. Although they should be increasing as they are getting closer, or am I wrong? I have put some aluminium tape on the notch at the very beginning as well as to the corners of the glass bed. Hi everyone, I have some troubles with homing my X and Z axis. I think it is caused by the proximity sensor, but I am not sure. I have the 0.78 firmware and I have already switched the pins, as it was in the wiring section. My X-homing doesn't really work - the head doesn't stop and it is crashing into the aluminium extursion for something like 6 seconds with bigger and then for another 4 secby mgb - Ormerod
